Ride Related Dreams You've Had

Pretty sure my mind is able to fully comprehend the whole concept of coasters now. Had two separate dreams over the past couple weeks where I rode The Ride To Happiness and Drayton's Shockwave in full from dispatch to brakes with no random layout deviations. They were in their respective parks too... have I officially gone off the deep end?

About the weirdest thing that happened during the dreams is that I missed my train from Plopsaland (which was referred to as Toverland in the dream, with extremely uncooperative staff members) and I caught my hat that fell off my head on the banana roll

The Shockwave dream was literally just Shockwave. The whole thing from lift to brakes. Then the dream ended. Nothing out of the ordinary, I can't stress how much it was 'just that'

I dream more about being on rides than having normal dreams. I'll explain the most interesting dream I had for entertainment purposes, as all the other dreams I constantly have usually involve me riding a roller coaster or going to a park I have never been to with strange aspects.

In this dream, a friend and I were on a large mountain that had an Intamin Drop Tower on top. The sky was dark, and people always went up but never came down. At one point, my friend decided to get on the ride, which was insanely terrifying, but I chose not to. Later on, my friend came back from the ride covered in black debris from the sky. He convinced me to get on the ride, which ended up lasting for around 20 minutes, during which everything was black due to the strange sky. The ride suddenly stopped, and I woke up just as we were about to drop.

I once had a dream wherein a new coaster was installed on Brighton pier and I was sat watching it from the window of a seafront hotel and witnessed one of the trains derailing and flying into the sea, complete with riders. But instead of calling an ambulance I just started reassuring fellow witnesses around me that coasters are usually very safe, so upon waking up I did wonder if I might be a bad person actually xx

Do you remember what ride model it was?

School trip day. Eurofighter in a shopping centre amusement park with Hangtime's colour scheme. There was a queue to ride it, and the way of queuing was to board a drop tower directly adjacent to the vertical lift of the Eurofighter which faced the whole layout. The lap bars for the drop tower were completely unlocked, and I decided to unbuckle my seatbelt multiple times at the top of the tower before re-buckling it again.

The layout was as follows:
-vertical lift, beyond vertical drop
-turnaround (like Saw's overbank after the immelmann)
-dive loop
-quick turnaround (like Anubis's immelmann but not inverting)
-dive loop
-quick turnaround (like Anubis's immelmann but not inverting)
-dive loop
-turnaround (like Saw's overbank after the immelmann)
-dive loop
-180 degree turn
-brakes.

Watching the layout from the drop tower was extremely exciting.
When it was my turn to board someone had decided to shoot out the wheels of the drop tower with a pistol, severely puncturing them. This was my way of finding out that the drop tower car I was on was going to be transferred onto the Eurofighter track, but now they couldn't do this because the wheels had been shot out.
SPITE.
We were safely lowered down to the ground where we got off and walked away from the Eurofighter. The amusement park had one more coaster which was a silver-tracked figure eight coaster with severe clearance issues but it was well-known that it was closed off to enthusiasts, children only.
SPITE.
I depressingly followed the rest of my school trip group as we went to a bowling area in the shopping centre, where the Eurofighter now changed its layout to exactly replicate Iron Shark. Dream ended.

I had a weird one last night that somewhat related to the partial retrack of Colossus that's happening at the moment. In the dream I had just arrived at Thorpe. I walked though the dome looked out across the park to see that Stealth had been replaced with TTD, not a bad start. I decide that SAW will be my first ride of the day so I start to walk over. As Colossus comes into view I see that the entire lifthill has been replaced with a wooden looking structure. There are multiple signs up saying that GCI is managing the retrack and that the ride won't be open for the 2023 season. I ride SAW, all is well. Make my way over to TTD and just as I get into the 10 minute queue, I wake up.

Was browing Maps when I came across a park, completely unknown to the eyes of enthusiasts, off the southeast coast of Spain somewhere between Benidorm and Barcelona. The park included an SLC built on the side of a cliff (purple track, orange supports) which followed this layout: curved drop, loop, immelmann, significant drop down the cliff where the ride hits its top speed, jumble of inversions, brakes. I spammed a discord server about my findings but no one seemed to care. I then find a surviving Schwarzkopf Katapult also somewhat down the cliff with purple track and three inversions, with extremely unnatural track shapes. Like if you raised two adjacent fingers, lowered one halfway, then traced over them. I was absolutely raiding this discord server about what the hell I'd just come across, but again no one paid any attention, and actually actively ignored me as they continued their previous conversations.

So I went to visit this mystery 'ghost park'. The way of entry was through a huge downwards circular rotating tube of solid faded orange/green that had funhouse-style obstacles, filled with hundreds of people also trying to enter the park. A few people went 360 over the pipe as they clung onto the obstacles as they rotated. The tube had a few diversions to the left and right which didn't rotate. They were also tubes, painted in a retro rainbow grid style that went off into pitch black darkness. Not a single person ever went down these rainbow tubes as no one knew where they went, we all just wanted the direct route to the park.

After ignoring two of the rainbow tube branches the colours changed to blue/purple, the rotation sped up ever so slightly, and the obstacles frequented more with the angle of descent increasing a bit too. Then soon enough we were thrown into the actual park. It was soaking wet with puddles everywhere on the concrete floor, and immediately to my right is an outdoor swimming pool with glass walls & roofs. To my left a parachute tower and a restaurant. A huge cruise ship in the distance, and I walk forwards towards a wall where I realise something haunting.

The wall that once stopped guests from leaping over the cliff to the lower end of the park was now a sea wall, as the water was up to literally the very top of the wall. The SLC and Katapult were almost entirely submerged in water... guessing they're not running then. A Loch Ness-type sea monster lurks in the distance. Then suddenly, the sea rises and water starts pouring over the walls. A boat filled with escaping guests rushes past me as the captain reaches for my arm to pull me to safety. We make contact and he begins to pull me in, but devastatingly we lose grip. The boat speeds off without me, and I feel myself succumbing to the liquid element.

Woke up.

Ah, my head....

So, start dream. We were driving into WDW, except then we entered an airport (?). Once we parked by a fairly large lake that doesn't exist it turns out we're going on a cruise that goes from Orlando to Miami to the Bahamas and then I think back to Orlando. But first, we stop at........****ing Land of Confusion: The Ride. Yes. Not making this up.

I do believe I was spited by it, though.

It was really m. Apparently we were going to take a flight to Japan and hit up a few knock off Disney parks but I woke up before that got to happen.

Had a brief one the other night, I was near the front of the queue for a coaster (possibly Untamed) when I noticed this coaster unexpectedly had a brakeman aboard. As it came for my turn to board, I recognised the brakeman as my manager from work, then was weirdly excited to be in a vehicle with my (slightly crazy) manager controlling the brakes.... Almost like in Elf, when he sees Santa, "I know him, I know him!"

Also almost every dream recently has had an element where I'm back on the coach with the ECC lot in Australia. The most recent one of them was we were supposedly at Oakwood, but the park itself was completely different. Group as a whole were disappointed we'd just missed Megafobia reopening after it's refurb by a few days, then went for a meal at a restaurant just outside the park gates, then back on the coach...

Last night I "went to" this funfair as part of a school trip (despite me being 21). I rode the ghost train, walked to the leftmost crazy mouse then the dream ended.

One of the crazy mouse coasters was called "CHRISTMAS SPINNING COASTER" and the Ranger was closed as it was in the process of having the inside of the gondola completely replaced by a group of about eight people.

I had this dream once about an insanely cool B&M Dive Coaster.

It goes up the hill, then straight down the first vertical drop (unlike Oblivion and the others with turns beforehand). This drop is then followed by an airtime hill which is vertical on both the ascent and decent. This is followed by a dive loop (not an immelman!), which transitions into two barrel rolls in a row, only these are in a building of some kind before reaching the brake run. B&M, make it happen.

A few week ago I had a dream that my son and I were queing for Iron Gwazi (we did ride it last year), we'd queued for the front and just as we were getting buckled in I woke up, To say I was gutted was an understatement.

I very rarely have lucid dreams and for once I get one and it gets ruined.

Had a dream a night or two ago.

Was at SFSTL, but it was all wrong. There was a big orange and teal B&M Hyper there and then we went on a big log flume in a mountain that was about where Supergirl and Rookie Racer should've been. Then we went to ride Boomerang, but not only was it now in a mall, it had been dismantled! We walked right past the track and supports and then asked a guest services person about it and he said they were rebuilding it in a different orientation and sure enough I look back at that area of the park (it didn't look like it was in a mall anymore, I saw Screamin' Eagle, Catwoman and the Ferris wheel which somehow got relocated) and they're rebuilding the Boomerang on the same plot, but rotated 90 degrees. Then we went home

Exodus at Thorpe Park was revealed and officially announced in full! The ride's name is 'Kimitoshima' named after a huge fictional Japanese mountain the size of the Matterhorn mountain. A light grey colour scheme with splodges of white for the track & supports, and a gold/dark red/black colour scheme for the trains.

The ride started with an LIM launch into an extremely tight roll (the tightest roll rate in the world) before a couple twists before starting the lift into the actual layout about 50ft up. From there it was normal, but the offride promo shots showed extra bits of track including a midcourse that didn't exist onride.

The back car span freely, and on top of the standard Mack hypercoaster trains there were also individual 1 car Xtreme Spinner trains heading through the course too.

People loved the ride, but most people had issues with the outerbanked pre-lift turn out of the station having been removed.

Had quite a long dream last night. Bare with me a bit, this dream is long and comes with absolutely no storyline but rides do appear near the end

Started off with me viewing a bungalow house near Blackpool. Notable features include a large kitchen/diner area with a toilet in one corner. After being impressed by the house, I wandered down the road outside to see the neighbourhood, to find a large empty car park. Stopped to think why such a large car park would sit empty, when all the town centre car parks were full. Turned around to discover the large rugby stadium (which is also where Blackpool FC train). Satisfied the car park was only used on match days, I went back to the house where not only had the estate agent disappeared and left me the key, a few guests (unnamed and unknown to me in real life, but friends in dream world) had made themselves at home, including blocking the kitchen toilet. After unblocking the toilet, we all went outside to explore the garden. Garden is situated between house and rugby pitch, but behind a wall separating us from the road.

Here, we discovered the 4th side to the garden was home to a small amusement park, which had 2 miniature railways of 2 different gauges (similar to Pleasurewood Hills). The larger railway ran right along the garden fence, while the smaller railway ran on a viaduct above the patio of the garden and partially on ground level in the garden with a curve effectively cutting the garden in two. Despite being not on amusement park land, there was no barriers stopping access onto the track and one of my guests went and broke the track. Since the park was open at the time and a train could pass through at any minute, we quickly had to fix the track before the next train. Once the track was successfully fixed, I spotted 2 boosters running in unison in the park and decided to head over, bringing one of the guests with me.

Once in the park, we got sidetracked by New Valhalla existing in this park. Boarded on front row of the boat and dispatched as normal. All lighting was switched on in the show building. Having not gone up any lifthill, boat went through 2 whirlpool sections, briefly travelling backwards between them. Once out the whirlpools, a ride op came running in to tell us we need to evacuate immediately at the next evac point. Got to the evac point, another ride op was there with a map to direct us out the building. Proceeded to walk the suggested route out, which doubled as a shortcut for all staff from the staff carpark into the park itself.

Dream ends here, I never made it out the building... In short, never invite guests to a house viewing...

Red: kitchen
Orange: kitchen toilet

I had a very weird theme park dream last night…

Basically, I went to ride what I know having woken up to be Hyperia at Thorpe Park (it had exactly the same layout and elements). However, it was called “Jungle Coaster”, was painted blue and green, and was at “SeaWorld Abu Dhabi”… although for some reason, “Abu Dhabi” turned out to be Cribbs Causeway in Bristol.

I got dropped off there by my family while they went to the cinema and shopping mall opposite, and I went to the entrance to buy my ticket… where I was very enthusiastically greeted by a park staff member, as you are. This staff member was trying to sell me a ticket when all of a sudden, they stared at me and went very quiet before leaning over and shouting in my ear “are you a THOOSIE, my good sir?”. I said “yes”, and they then got discernibly more excited and chirped “Well, we have to give you the 50% THOOSIE discount! And we must escort you to meet the other THOOSIES! It’s so exciting that we have another THOOSIE visiting us today!”. (For clarity, the reason I keep capitalising the word THOOSIE is because the staff member was putting significant emphasis upon it!)

After that little encounter, I eventually got my ticket and went through the turnstiles. As I scanned my ticket at the turnstile, it yelled out “THOOOOOSIE!” with the “oo” sound being elongated and pronounced in a manner not dissimilar to that of a cow mooing…

When I was in the park, the staff member from before reappeared and escorted me to meet the other “thoosies”… and it only gets more bizarre from here. The other “thoosies” were all cloaked figures, with their faces replaced by some recognisable forum profile pictures from the forums I frequent! I was introduced to the “thoosies” and we exchanged pleasantries for a few minutes before we all went towards “Jungle Coaster” to ride it. However, we did not ride it before we “initiated it”, engaging in some bizarre cult ritual that involved bowing down to the ride repeatedly, a long period of throat singing and banging drums around a bonfire, and then bowing down repeatedly to the “almighty father of coasters”, which was right next to it and had somehow migrated to Abu Dhabi/Bristol… Octonauts at Alton Towers.

After this ritual, we got in the queue for “Jungle Coaster”… some in the group were riding it for the first time, while others had already ridden it and were moaning about how it “didn’t hold a candle to Octonauts”. The queue was long and slow, but we nearly got to the end. Row 12 (yes, “Jungle Coaster” had 6 cars compared to Hyperia’s 5, but I think that’s a relatively minor inaccuracy compared to most in this dream) was in my sights… but the “leader of the thoosies” suddenly got very sweary and shouted “F*** this; I can’t wait another second for my hour’s ERS on Octonauts! Come on, thoosies; let’s leave this queue and head to Octonauts! Jungle Coaster might be new and flashy, but our ERS on the almighty father can’t wait, motherf***ers!”. This was met with a chorus of emphatic whoops and cheers from the other “thoosies”… and then I woke up.

What a bizarre dream…

Just woke up from a somewhat strange dream/premonition(?). I was at Phantasialand for my birthday (which I’m actually going to in a couple of weeks, whoooo), and the first ride I went on was Chiapas. The layout was exactly the same, except the finale had been radically altered.

Instead of one big drop followed by an airtime hill, you first did a small double down into a canyon-like area. The boat then made a few zigzag turns before arriving at the actual final drop, which had been inexplicably reduced to about half the height. The drop was so short in fact that now instead of the boat yeeting over the airtime hill like it normally does, it was now crawling over it. I walked off really disappointed over the change, and I went on CF to find out they cut the height because the boats apparently had a problem with overshooting the final splash area.

Then just minutes later, a thunderstorm rolled in, and the whole park got cast in complete darkness despite it only being 11 A.M. I tried to take a picture of Chiapas in the dark, but my phone wouldn’t let me for whatever reason. Then I woke up.

Your dream certainly sounds like a unique and vivid experience, and it's interesting that it seems to be related to your upcoming visit to Phantasialand. Dreams often draw from our thoughts, experiences, and anticipations, mixing them into unusual and sometimes fantastical scenarios.
@Hixee this seems like a bot, correct me if I'm wrong though.
