Just got my first cred of the year, a front row ride on Taron. Damn son that was some crazy ****.
I am going to elaborate on this now I've finished my 2 days at Phantasialand.
Taron
The above says it all really, but this is a masterpiece in terms of atmosphere and theming. The layout is really good too, especially the second launch - my favourite part was actually just after this, where for a brief moment you get a full view above the ride before diving back in. There's some good speed moments as well as some pretty strong airtime, and it's definitely a front row ride. That said it's just not quite as good as Taiga in my opinion as both halves die out a bit (especially the trim on the hill near the end, that's tragic) and Taiga just has a more dynamic layout. Taron is really more about the combined package rather than being a ride of elements. I will give Taron the edge on the launches though - Taiga has great ones too, but Taron's are just better.
Raik
This is the most forgettable coaster here in my opinion. Maybe I'm just not that into these family boomeranges but it didn't have as many near miss elements as I expected unlike Taron. One and done.
Colorado Adventure
Holy **** this is ****ing carnage. Sit at or near the back and just go flying over the drops. Sitting by myself meant I was also sliding all over the place, and you have to take your bag on with you too! Long layout with lots of theming and awesome moments, I think the best part was after the second lift hill as there's this drop that goes into complete darkness and you just get ejected hard. Absolute chaos.
Black Mamba
I liked it more the second time when I wasn't at the back. It's not a bad coaster, but I found it to be not a patch on Nemesis in my experience. I think if I'd got a front row ride it would have been awesome but like Reborn you don't get to choose to queue for it. Still though, as negative as I sound about this, it's remarkably solid.
F.L.Y
This ride is Rookburgh and Rookburgh is this ride. The area is smaller than it appears in pictures but it's so detailed it doesn't even matter. The boarding system is absolutely genius, and I didn't even know there was a lift hill before the first launch! However, on my first ride I was at the back and it just felt positive G heavy and I didn't like it that much. I did eventually get a front row ride though and it was fantastic. You can more easily see the near miss elements which are really good and you actually get solid airtime. The second launch up the hill into the twisting drop at the front is the best part of the ride. My third and last ride ended up being at the back again, but it was a lot better than the first time. This ride feels so different from front to back that it's kind of hard to rate.
Crazy Bats
Only did this for the cred, I'd never done a VR coaster and it was wasn't particularly interesting. Definitely skip this if you're not going for the cred, I queued a while for it as well.
Winjas (Force)
Queues for Maurer Spinners seem to always be miserable, and this is no exception, though it is at least themed. It's got a lot of cool traits like the elevator lift, tilt track, and whatever the hell the drop track before the very end is, but it's really really short.
Winjas (Fear)
Yes I am counting this as a separate cred, and the only one I didn't get on the first day. Didn't queue as long as I did for Force the day before which is nice, and ironically this side has better forces than the side that is actually called force. It's also just better overall - better drops, better spinning, better airtime, and I'm pretty sure it's a longer ride too. Still, I wouldn't be in a hurry to revisit either side of Winjas if I did a revisit, especially with how slammed the park was both days.
