Milestones in Your Counts

I always try to get some nice, major coasters for my x00 milestones. It was sometimes annoying to get it right, but in the end it always felt worth it.

100. Oz'Iris - Parc Asterix
200. Voyage - Holiday World
300. Diabolik - Movieland Park
400. Taron - Phantasialand
500. Superman the ride - Six Flags New England
600. Steel Vengeance - Cedar Point
700. Kondaa - Walibi Belgium
800. Yoy (thrill) - Walibi Holland

50 - Stealth
100 - Voyage
150 - Fury 325
200 - Mystic Timbers
250 - Abismo
300 - Fønix
400 - Bobcat

500 - New Texas Giant

Visited some friends in Dallas last weekend and made it to Six Flags Over Texas for the first time. Had a bit of work to do in the cred run but successfully made New Texas Giant my 500th roller coaster. Ride looked good, but with it also being the most important coaster that opened in the 2010s—being the first RMC which led to game-changing coasters and influenced other manufactures—felt it was great choice for the big milestone.

The park was very busy, so I only rode once after an hour’s wait, but I’m satisfied with my front-row ride. That said it’s probably my least favorite RMC, solely for the lack of intensity. All the hills have airtime, but they don’t quite hit like the RMCs started to do a few years later. The two low airtime hills near the start are fantastic, but everything else felt very controlled. Great ride obviously, but wasn’t bummed to miss out on rerides.

Congratulations @Hutch! That’s a very momentous ride for your 500th!
