Howdy!

Today whilst I was at the Chessington World of Adventures consultation for their indoor water park. I overheard a little tidbit from planners talking about an indoor water park opening in the coming years just North of Bicester near Oxford.

Following a little digging, it turns out to be a Great Wolf Lodge project. With planning permission already sought and a proposed opening of sometime in 2024!

Initially, a bit confused here, but it appears the location considered in the article you posted is actually a different location to the post that created this thread, meaning that two resorts are currently under construction. Also noteworthy is that the controlling investors (Blackstone) in Great Wolf are also significant shareholders in Merlin. They're also expanding their waterpark business with Chessington and taking on the operation of Sandcastle Blackpool.
