I've heard so, but I cannot confirm. But if they are tire driven launches, I'd suspect so. Would love to know if anyone can confirm one way or another for sure.
Makes sense, I don't think there's some crazy conspiracy... the only part that's strange to me is that no one seems to know for sure.
Usually at least someone in the coaster community has some insight, especially when it affects multiple rides simultaneously. The fact that no one seems to...
Does this really look like a quick weld would safely reattach the pieces?

I've been wondering about this as well. I was at Sea World San Diego about 5 days ago, and Arctic Rescue was fully behind walls, implying it's not going to open anytime soon. And according to the website, DarKoaster is also closed. Hagrid does not seem to be affected, but Universal probably...
Any reports on the reliability of the ride? I haven't much about downtime, which seems promising. I'll be going in later July, so I'm hoping it'll still be fine

In a full circle moment, I'll probably be...
I'd normally agree that a ride closure should get a send off, but in this particular case, the ride had been down for quite a while already. I can't really argue spending a lot of money to get a ride working only to close it. It seems it was too expensive to re-open in the first place.
It had...
I feel like Railblazer would be pretty easy to relocate. And given it's intense nature in a small footprint, I'd imagine there are park who wouldn't mind getting it.
What will really be missed at the park will be the flat rides. It still has a working Enterprise, Calypso, and Bayern Kurve...
Part of this could be that we've had inversions the longest, since the first two (safely) looping coasters were both in SoCal in the 70s.... so we've had inversions for over 50 years. Could be a bit jaded on them by now, lost a bit of their allure
;)
