There is no question Willy Wonka is the better one. Haven't even seen all of the new one but from what I have seen it's atrocious.

Fun fact, the candy shop in downtown San Luis Obispo (where I live) plays Willy Wonka on repeat every single day. It's awesome...they even have a few theatre chairs to help get you in the mood...and of course more than enough candy :-D
