I wish they would have kept one side going backwards I think it would be fun

Cedar Fair put an end to all the backwards trains at Carowinds, Kings Island, and Kings Dominion... Sadly.
I pretty much stopped riding all 3 of the Para-Racers after the change. I genuinely enjoyed riding the backwards trains and was pretty disappointed when the parks of New Management immediately changed something that had been perfectly safe some +20 years.

What was the logical reason for them getting rid of backwards trains? I though Recar was smoother than Racer! Plus it was way more fun. The experience was totally different.

I believe it came down to Cedar Fair and insurance rates... And PTC saying something as well.

Kings Island also cited the ability to run their Racer as one train operation on either side, along with combining the two separate queue lines to one for easier line flow.
