Merlin's Crazy PR Stunts

I found the latest PR stunt as I'm sure many of you did on Screamscape (Alton Towers spraying bug repellent on TH13TEEN to stop visitors from swallowing bugs).

I then thought that these things are happening so much that we may as well just have one topic and post them all in here from now on, as I don't think that they deserve their own topic every time Merlin's marketing team decide to get in the news again, but sometimes it's nice to chat about it, or find out what's going on.

oh Morwenna. Bless her, she works hard don't she.

From the Thirteen presentation, she clearly says all the news stories arn't at all true, so no one should take them seriously really. I find some of them amusing, and if it gets more people in the park and gets more money for new rides, I'm not bothered.

I swear there was a topic on crazy PR stunts somewhere? However, I did try finding it a few weeks ago, and failed, and seeming as though it was dominant with Merlin PR, it seems sensible to create this one.

Merlin do give me rage with their over-the-top and ludicrous PR, but it gets people at school talking to me about theme parks

Bug repellent? The most annoying thing at AT are people saying Rita goes 100 mph, can they not get a spray for them? That would make more sense to me

Tbh, I'd rather see parks and their attractions well marketed, not a rush of crappy, desperate PR stunts.
