I remember when Milky Bars were 10p. I'm only thirteen, but even I can see just how dramatically prices have risen recently...

I remember when a can of Coke was 10p and a 10p "mixture" could get you 20 sweets in a paper bag.

I remember Wham bars* as long as your forearm and buying sweets by the 16ths, 8ths or quarters from the local news agents, not a specialist "Ye Olde Sweete Shoppe".

I remember Britain winning the Eurovision song contest and buying the single the next day (I'll bet I still have it somewhere)!

I remember Alton Towers when it was just a ruined Stately Home with just a set of dodgems in the courtyard. I remember three years later when Blue Peter visited and they went into the Dinosaur land and were terrified by a man in a T-Rex costume. I remember every single ride that has ever been at Alton Towers since 1980, except for the Alton Mouse which I have no recollection of at all (it's very odd indeed).
