Oh nice! I can't say I noticed it rattling but we went from Colossus to Hyperia so, you know, a land of contrasts. Glad I took a day off work, 40 minutes was stretching how long I can physically stand but it was worth it.
I was thinking about taking a day off work and heading over to the park this week because I *still* haven't had a chance to ride - despite Thorpe being literally a 30 minute drive away - due to all the engineering issues last year (it was down every single time I visited). I'd glad I didn't...
If it's open at the weekend I'm half tempted to pop along again on Sunday (with the old Merlin pass) and just brave the queues out of sheer bloody-mindedness. I am determined to get on this thing
Still there as of 1500, obviously- no sign so far of any work on the ground (it's a bit hard to see in this photo but you can just catch a glimpse of a seat back through a bush)I doubt it will be open tomorrow unless they put in a substantial overnight shift.
Wildly disappointed to have taken a day off work to get here and find it closed, again. It must be very frustrating for all involved but I do agree that the testing seemed rushed. And Colossus is down to one train. Ah well. (Long time lurker, first time poster.)
