It's been interesting watching these manufacturers iterate on their designs as they moved from "copying" designs without the foundations of why and how they were designed that way originally, onto having that foundation and understanding the why and how of the shaping and layouts! Some of their...
That probably plays a part, but I think it's more to do with the bleaching effects of the sun. Colours would fade faster in the harsh sun, so rather than have to repaint them all the time they've skipped straight to white paint
So, assuming you've been struck with inspiration and an insatiable desire to climb Hyperia's lift with no previous climbs and no pass, you're looking at almost £280 for the climb!
Hyperia lift - £120
Colossus/Swarm lift - £56 (with a pass)
Thorpe silver annual pass - £99
I admire their skill in...
With the ticket scanning system BPBB insist on using, I wonder if they could group tickets together into a "RAP group"?
So the lead books their RAP entitlement, and then adds whoever they want to their group in the app. And each ticket can only be in one RAP group, so if you add Geoff to your...
3 weeks seems like a tight target to get all the theming in place, but they must know what they're doing.
Are we moving away from details and intricacies in design, and instead moving towards bland colour blocking? What story are they trying to convey? Is the green supposed to represent acid...
It's funny how young people are constantly ridiculed for not behaving themselves, or not putting in effort, or not acting like older adults, or any other perceived failing, and their reward is to be told they're worth less than someone else solely based on their age. There's lots of talk about...
From what I can see in the council minutes, Universal submitted their draft SDO documentation at some point before the Environment committee meeting on 26th September 2024, which the civil would be a statutory consultee to. Final submission was expected in November 2024, but that was dependant...
Looks dead set to be the new coaster in Cbeebies at towers if you ask me ;)
Have we heard anything new on Grona Lund's expansion? Isn't that scheduled for the next couple of years? I can't remember exactly what kind of coaster was in the concepts, maybe Grona have forgiven Intamin for Insane...
Oops, my bad I forgot this was a serious business only thread!
Of course they're not going to get a wing coaster. Putting demographics aside, they don't have the height available there and there's zero chance it would ever get past the planners in that location.
"Verder zal het aquapark in 2025 een groot buitenzwembad openen."
"Furthermore, the water park will open a large outdoor swimming pool in 2025."
Looks like a fairly pool-y sized hole
Didn't they make a big deal out of the logistics possibilities of the underlying system? Maybe that side of the business is going gangbusters, so they've sacked everything else off and are really leaning into this?
Grinding the rails at the joints is fairly common after installation, helps smooth the transition from section to section, so I don't think it will an issue here either!
While I was waiting in the SRQ, I heard the host at the bottom of the stairs say to someone in an ICON hoodie "our Mack's better than yours" and they replied "...yeah, fair!"
What a disappointing shame, genuinely expected better from phantasialand. AI slop is gross and has no place in a theme park.
Pay a real artist you cheap cowards.
The fact they'd cobble together a train of lead cars, rather than invest in a new set of cars, speaks volumes to me. (And is probably why they're having troubles with rollbacks anyway) It seems like they want the recognition of it, but can't really afford to get it to the standard it should be...
