A massive fire broke out at Karl’s Erlebnis-Dorf Elstal on Tuesday morning. The fire started inside a workshop and eventually led to a slide, a sales stand, and a barnyard shed all being destroyed by the flames (the animals inside the shed were fortunately rescued). Nine people had to be...
Another fairground ride was damaged in a motorway blaze last week. A truck carrying parts of the ”Rio Carnival” funhouse caught fire while driving down the A12 motorway in the Netherlands, leaving a large hole on the side of the trailer. There’s been no reports of injuries, but the extent of the...
I've heard Motiongate is a ghost town outside of specific times of year, and that's in Dubai which still sees 15 million+ tourists annually. I struggle to see how this will perform that much better, tbh.
I think whoever wrote the description just got the loop confused with an inverted top hat. The height, length, capacity, and year of manufacturing stats all line up with Speed and not Mr. Freeze.
Batman: The Ride at Six Flags Mexico got a new train with vest restraints earlier this year, but as of right now they’re running the old horsecollar trains at the same time which makes for quite the bizarre sight.
I didn't realize until now that Rusutsu is pretty much a retirement home for Japanese coasters that had brief stints elsewhere. I think only the SLC was built for them?

Construction appears to be underway for what’s rumored to be a new scare attraction and a Zamperla Vertical Swing (Zamperla’s take on a Star Flyer) coming to the Egypt area in 2024. Additional landscaping for OzIris is also in the works.

Dynamic Attractions has been sold. The struggling manufacturer was bought by a Hong Kong-based financial services film at a bankruptcy auction for about CAD$2 million. The company had assets worth far more than that, but liabilities valued at over $30 million led to the sale price being so low...
A truck transporting several ride cars belonging to the ”Heidi” spinning coaster (not to be confused with Heidi: the Ride at Plopsaland) caught fire while on the motorway yesterday, damaging both the truck and the ride cars beyond repair. The driver fortunately managed to escape the burning...
Just gonna include the ones I’ve been to since 2015:
Europa Park
Phantasialand
Efteling
Liseberg
Parc Asterix
Hansa-Park
Walibi Belgium
Toverland
Disneyland Park (Paris)
Gröna Lund
HMs: Tivoli Gardens and PortAventura Park
They lowered several elements the winter after it opened (RCDB says it was the large turn, the hammerhead, and the sidewinder) to prevent trains from stalling. The park is on the shores of the North Sea where it can get quite windy.
It’s frankly embarrassing that it took them this long just to replace one section of track. I don’t know if it was on Merlin’s end or the manufacturer, but something clearly broke down somewhere. This should’ve been finished by the time the season started.
