Japan's Many Expo's And Their Coasters

It was called the Super Tornado, I believe a Senyo built flat ride. Here's a shot of it operating at the Asian Pacific Expo in Fukuoka in 1989 and you can see some of the cars partway up the arms.

Japan's Many Expo's And Their Coasters

The Meisho built "Mountain Coaster" doesnt appear to have come from anywhere else either. Although there was an expo with a coaster the year before that I've not dug up any pictures of yet so who knows. Right lets do a few more International Science and Technology Exhibition - 1985 - Tsukuba A...

Small News From The Theme Park Industry

I do wonder if this is a response to the current geopolitical situation. Western manafactured rides can't be imported into Russia at the moment. And I assume russian rides can't be exported to most of the rest of the world. Giving pax pretty much carte blanche as the only major coaster...

Japan's Many Expo's And Their Coasters

Japan has an interesting history of hosting huge world and local expositions over the years. Many of which hosted small amusement parks with coasters. It's something we did in the UK way back at the start of the 20th century with numerous Scenic Railway type rides going from those Expos to...

    Fantastic old coaster footage/pics

This is an interesting one A fairly large park with a history I somehow missed. And I love that. This is a (Semi) terrain coaster called Jet Shooter that was at Tokyo's Yomiuriland known now for the Togo coaster Bandit. The ride had the lift hill at the end which itself is unusual. A bit more...

If Jinma did that shaping we'd rip them to shreds. Or perhaps they were ahead of the game.

Dollywood | Big Bear Mountain | Vekoma Family Launched Coaster | 2023

What makes this sad is that if a UK park built a ride like this they'd just build the first half up until the 3rd launch and be done with it. None of the going the extra mile. And if they did it would still be one of the best if not the best family coaster in the country

Small News From The Theme Park Industry

One of the earliest Jinma mine trains, Monte Carlo Race Track at Happy Valley Wuhan has completed a retheme (https://rcdb.com/10078.htm) The original theme was a weird truck/race course theme. And in my experience riding it back in 2014 it was one of the duller of the Vekoma/Vekomalike mine...
