I use glasses straps on all sorts of rides, and haven't had an issue with them yet.
Strangely, at SFOG, one ride op asked us to remove my glasses, even though they had a strap. And I'm basically blind without them. Which is why I figure CF is allowing glasses with straps, because if someone...
Ugh, not a fan of having Riptide Rescue being relocated there. That's a much bigger plot of land, and you'd think there'd be a better use for it. And it would also leave behind a small plot of land that has no real serious development options, other than maybe a deck or yet another store/food...
I went to SW a few times this year. As a teacher, I get a free Fun Card (essentially, free admission). It's sad to hear the two aquariums will be demolished, but as they've been SBNO for years, it's not exactly a surprise. I do think the upcoming jellyfish exhibit is a step in the right...
As memory serves, that's pretty accurate... although I don't believe they said "Please" in the "Please prepare for launch).
SFMM did used to have a recording for Rev, but I haven't heard it played in years.
And when I did most recently ride the Sky Cabin, the ride op (likely deliberately)...
When I rode the Great Nor'Easter at Morey's Piers, I was shocked at how good an SLC could be. At the time, that SLC was as smooth as nearly any B&M. As opposed to nearly any other SLC in the world.
Having the ocean view on the lift hill only adds to the experience
Pity you never made it to Meow Wolf, it's quite the head trip. They also have an amazing bookstore called The Tattered Cover.
But all those are fun parks to visit--though I have heard Lakeside is going pretty downhill in terms of ops. Pity, because it's a unique place to visit with a lot of...
Both Disney and SFMM already have a Vekoma Roller Skater. I thought the rumor was a copy of Canada Wonderland's Snoopy's Racing Railway? Although, given Knott's history, I'd figure they'd give it the Soap Box Racer name.
California is better themed, on board sound, and much, much smoother. While it may be a tamer ride, that's enough for a win to me. No contest.
I think things would get more interesting comparing WDW Space with CA's Matterhorn... that's a much more similar comparison in terms of ride quality...
Any updates on this? I saw the vid of it valleying during testing, and another forum has claimed it it having some major problems, and likely won't open until next year--but wasn't any more specific.
The wheels for Superman: The Escape at SFMM appear to be a about the same size... and when you think about it, that ride and TT2 have a comperable ride experience (especially since S:TE now has a a forward and backward side)
I'm still not holding my breath, but hey... if it does finally open, that'll be great.
Lost Island has a similar disadvantage, location-wise, but had a much smaller budget... and is still struggling with attendance. Which is a pity, because it's a great little park. I was just there less than...
On the other side of the news, SF Great America is reopening their Sky Trek (Sky Tower) after being closed for 4+ years.
