Re: Leviathan - B&M giga coaster for Canada's Wonderland
^ Exactly. What do they care whether or not they consult them for a hyper or a giga. I'm sure they prefer the giga. More money in their pockets.
Re: Leviathan - B&M giga coaster for Canada's Wonderland
It's always good to see some good, friendly discussion. :P
I was thinking the same thing about the lift system. I'm not sure how accurate the video was to the actual timing of the ride, but it was only 1:12 long, and according to RCDB...
I got bored this week and finally played the campaign in Black Ops. I got it so I could play Nazi Zombies and Online Multiplayer and hadn't touched the campaign for 10 months, and once I started playing, I remembered why. It sucks. They all do. But once I started I had to finish...
Re: Leviathan - B&M giga coaster for Canada's Wonderland
Magnum also offers a different kind of ride than Millennium Force does. Magnum has that fast, rough ride that you can only expect from the old Arrow hypers, whereas MF has the current smooth steel feeling to it. You get the feel of...
I'll believe it when I see it. To be honest, I don't see this ride being forceful. There isn't a helix or anything, which seems to be their best element on their hypers, and from the POV I saw 2 airtime hills...
This actually reminds me a lot of Millennium Force...A lot.
It does have to be absolutely awful for capacity...Twelve riders per train with only one train. With a 30 second ride you have to figure that even under the absolute best case scenario the capacity is only ~480 people per hour. Horrible.
^ All of the parks you named have Intamin rides that aren't traditional chain lift systems. They were LSM launched, LIM launched, cable lift, Accelerator...All complex systems, with many components that can have issues to cause a breakdown. All of the B&M's are chain lift systems. I'm not saying...
^ They did it once, I'm sure if they had the desire and were contracted, they could do it again. And the fact is, it is their ride, they can put pictures of it wherever they want.
Also, this ride gave Werner Stengel nightmares:

^ The LSM units are the brakes. The train goes through the station and brakes on the launch section using the LSM's. Or, if it's a slow day in the park, it will launch again, instead of braking.
Re: "Skyrush" - Intamin Hyper - Hersheypark
Agreed. I kept thinking it's going to look like ****, but that's just from the poorly made NoLimits video they produced. But seeing the track convinces me otherwise.
