I've been looking around RCDB concerning the history of Intamin restraints and I thought this was interesting (I could be completely wrong and may have missed a coaster or two that ruins my theory but anyway...)
Xcelerator and Top Thrill Dragster were built in 2002 and 2003 back when they...
I don't get why they would say "but no over the shoulder harness" if there was one. If it's a marketing technique it's kind of stupid considering you can see what the train looks like right next to that statement.
Anyway, I have to hope that there won't be any OTSR. I think the drop will...
Man, I think the reason you win most of your arguments is because you just wear people out ;)
Anyway, I don't think Deluge was the new managements decision and now that you bring it up they even use Tony Hawk in some of their water slides.
Anyway I wasn't on the forums back when the...
I don't know what you're saying about SFNE and SFFT.
SFNE- Thomas Town, Football Field/Failed Dark Knight
SFFT- Tony Hawk, Goliath
Only reason I used the two parks was because that was the first example I thought of.
All I was ever trying to say was that Six Flags has only used "tie-in"...
UC, Wiggles World and Dark Knight.
Two years under new management, two of the same things at each park.
I'd be willing to bet that a Splash Battle will go to at least two new parks in 2010. Only reason I don't think it's going anywhere else this year is because if it ends up to be a huge...
No, that's what I was trying to say, all their new rides are "tie-ins" which become less original after the third time. Instead of doing things like naming their coasters Evel Kneivel, or Terminator, I wish they would name it something original, like the three rides I listed were.
However it...
I really don't mind what color it gets painted or what it is themed to as long as the name doesn't have something along the lines of ...:The Coaster or ...:The Ride.
Only thing I really miss about the new management is their originality, with names like Tatsu, El Toro, Kingda Ka, Nitro...
UC, it's stupid to say that the reason B&M made Silver Star was for airtime if you then said it has none.
I'm pretty sure if that was it's purpose a company with the engineers that B&M has would be able to pull off some airtime.
They obviously built the ride for speed and drops, not airtime...
I actually really like the layout.
The turns right after the pretzel actually look kinda fun, it seems like you don't stop flipping from back to belly until the MCBR.
Then at least they'll make the other turns interesting with water effects.
And other then that the Pretzel, drop, first and...
^^I know people who for their first four times felt absolutely nothing and thought the same thing as you. That they were doing it perfectly it just didn't effect them because they were special, but then eventually they realized they were doing it completely wrong and it started having the same...
Those trains remind me of log flume logs quite a bit, I wonder how the restraints will work.
I think the part from 2:00 to 2:15 in the film looks like the only really interesting part of the ride. It's a great idea, much more could have been done with this type of ride though.
