The Voyage.
Before I really got into coasters, I rode it by accident, not knowing what I was riding. I ended up at Holiday World while we were just passing through the area with my family; my kids were too small to ride anything, and I said "Hey I'm gonna run over and ride this wooden coaster"...
I got pretty intentional when I got close to 100.
98- Orion
99- Guardians Of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind
100- Tron
I intentionally skipped Flight of Fear at Kings Island because I was going to Disney the next month, and wanted Tron to be 100. I've still never ridden FOF.
I think the 420ft spike looks good as it fits the rest of the structure, it will look like the train goes a safe distance up the spike without cutting it dangerously close, and the third launch will be needed, and felt to get over.
I think the first launch will be the most potentially awkward.
I think my main concern is the first launch being underwhelming.
The first launch used to to be so unbelievably amazing. The anticipation of it all was sick. And now—- you have all of that runway to get to only the same speed as Maverick? Maverick’s launch is fine because it’s a small ride, and...
Just got back from my first time at HersheyPark. Skyrush might be the most dangerous feeling roller coaster I've ever ridden. Those seats offer such little support. The restraints pin your thighs.... but THATS IT. The bottom and top of your body are totally exposed and free to move. I needed a...
I agree that the park desperately needs a high quality family coaster— and this location would work. Right near a family section of the park. Something like Dragonflyer at Dollywood.
But- that’s not gonna make many headlines. And the Dragonflyer capacity is awful.
I always thought Wicked...
Are masks not required at Universal anymore? that would be sweet. Also- full train? maybe they are shooting promotional footage? That would also explain the masks.
Thought I would update this if anyone is going to Dollywood soon. I was just there Aug 7-9 and it was closed all three days. Suuuuper bummed I traveled 8 hours to ride it and it never opened.
I think its safe to say that a major new coaster for 2020 is a confirmed no? It seems to take more than one off-season to build a coaster these days. Surely someone would have noticed something by now. I was just there at the end of June and didn't see any kind of scrims or walls blocking off...
With Millennium Force nearly 20 years old, I cant keep believing it will always be the best ride ever built.
With both of these rides, they were built to give the people what they wanted at the time. Back in the 90s, people wanted height records, and speed records. MF Delivered in a way that...
