Kilimanjaro Safaris was an original idea when the park opened. The idea was to combine a Safari experience with a thrilling chase sequence in real vehicles. The result is interesting if not overally exciting as Busch Garden's Rhino Rally stole this idea and did the thrilling section of the ride ten times better. Kilimanjaro remains the better of the two as far as the actual Safari segment goes however.
