Lake Compounce is located on the side of a hill and the surrounding area and has plenty of trees, space and atmosphere to match its incredible age.  Despite its age though, Lake Compounce doesn't feel old or worn out at all.  The park is clean, tidy and well-kept.

Lake Compounce has a good selection of rides, enough to suit everyone in the family.  It's got plenty for the little kids to do, and more than enough for the hardened thrill seeker.  It's also got a good selection of rides in the middle, that will suit both young and old.  Lake Compounce's premier attraction is Boulder Dash, an incredible wooden coaster than rushes through the hillside negotiating all manner of obstacles.  It's often said to be the best roller coaster in the world.

Food at Lake Compounce is all in house and is reasonably priced and good quality for park food.  The park also offers unlimited free (well, after you've paid the normal entrance price) Pepsi drinks.  This is great for hot summer days where you can just grab soft drinks, for free, all day.  It's only a little perk, but it makes the whole experience of Lake Compounce so much better.
