If you asked a scholar about Mount Olympus, they would probably talk about it being the home of the 12 Olympian Gods from Greek Mythology. Ask a roller coaster enthusiast and they would describe it as a theme park full of wooden coasters somewhere in Wisconsin. If this park were to be an Olympian God then it would be Athena, the God of Craft. So good is their craft, you wont find another theme park like Mount Olympus. |

Yes, the theme is Greek Mythology which is a somewhat unadventurous theme, the sort of thing someone may create on Roller Coaster Tycoon 2. The great thing about Greek Mythology is that there's loads of Gods so they'll never struggle for name. The theme park has a very basic yet fully effective theme throughout. In some respects, where they have gone OTT with theme in some areas it looks rather tacky. Theme consists of wood and stone. You'll see plenty of impressive wooden structures (the roller coasters and go-kart tracks) and their entrances are usually indicated by an imposing and impressive gate with the rides logo on it. You wont find any interesting detail in the stations or around the paths, the theme is within the rides; thier characteristics, the experience and positioning.
Park food is limited to fast food, sometimes served in a restaurant if you can't be bothered to stand and queue for it. Ice creams, burgers, fries etc all at a reasonable price for what you get.
The staff do not interact much with the customers. They are polite, smile and are helpful but do thier job almost robotically whilst having a non-stop conversation with their fellow colleagues.
Only the roller coasters have been included in this guide. You'll also find a few regular theme park favourites here, as well as a water park and loads of free, amazing go-kart tracks!
Overall, Mount Olympus has a lot going for and is a must-do for any enthusiast. The rides may not look much when you you look at them but riding theme is a different experience.
