Hoosier Hurricane is Indiana Beach’s most visually impressive coaster and it doesn’t really disappoint during riding too!  Situated right along the edge of the lake and with some of its supports in the water, Hoosier Hurricane is a good ride with a fantastic ride experience to be had overall.

The first drop on Hoosier Hurricane is awesome; it’s steep, fast, filled with airtime and gives a great view of the rest of the coaster sprawling off into the distance.  The ride then flies over a series of hills on the lakeside, often right above the water, then it’s a quick turnaround at the other end of the pier and back down the lakeside again to the station.

Hoosier Hurricane also has ‘buzz-bars’ or ‘single position lap bars’ which allow lots of movement in the seats.  This is great for airtime and also for having a good laugh with friends as you bump and shuffle into each other.  Hoosier Hurricane is another coaster at Indiana Beach that really should not be missed.
