Rameses Revenge was one of the first (and remaining) high-intensity thrill rides at Chessington World of Adventures. Opened in 1995, it's as exhilarating then as it is now.

Riders are seated in a gondola which is supported by two arm at either side. The arms turn allowing the gondola to rise and fall. The gondola can also rotate at both ends, allowing for a full 360 degree pivot. Combined with the rotating arms, Rameses Revenge is certainly a love it/loathe it ride.

Towards the end of the ride cycle, the gondola is locked and riders are lowered face first towards water fountains which shoot up and soak their faces. To avoid getting wet, riders can sit at the ends of each row.

This ride is as equally popular for spectators who will inevitably laugh and gasp as the riders get wet.
