This feeling or experience that Nemesis gives, is probably best known as as the 'X-Factor.'
Nemesis pushes the boundaries for any theme park rollercoaster as it reaches every limit possible for any one human to endure. With it's cramped turns and tight inversions, Nemesis exaggerates the feeling of fear while giving an exciting and heart stopping experience. Nemesis is one of the rides that brought the term 'White Knuckle' into the industry when it took the world by storm in March 1994. It brought a whole new depth to the industry and its thrilling layout combined with its excellent theming inspired design companies to push the boundaries of future coasters. The effects of Nemesis's design can still be seen today, in rides like Black Mamba and Hydra: The Revenge, both of which utilise their terrain and surroundings to create an unparalleled experience.
When they were building Nemesis, a huge tent was erected over the site and the story began! During routine excavation works, workers uncovered a dormant alien creature which rose up and vented it's fury! Using loads of steel, the workers bolted down the beast in order to tame it. Your ride is based around the escape of the monster.
Nemesis was Europe's first inverted coaster and took 440 tonnes of steel and 7,542 bolts to construct. The ride and theming was designed by Tussaud's Imagineer John Wardley and some say it's his best work to date. The rust effects on the track were actually added by Tussaud Studios to give the ride a more scary feel.
Nemesis: A legend, A masterpiece.
