Movie Park is situated in north-western Germany, just north of the town of Bottrop, and the Duisburg/Oberhausen/Essen/Bochum conurbation. Until the start of the '05 season, the parks was owned by Six Flags, and went by the name of Warner Brothers Movie World Germany. Six Flags sold off their european division in '04 though, and the park was purchased by Star Parks, and took on its new name for the '05 season. Conversely, all the ride names changed too, so that they no longer had Warner references. It still feels very typically Warner Brothers there though, with the usual main street, and lots of shows and studio tours etc. The coasters there might not be the best, but they're quirky and fun, and a day there always passes pretty quickly. The park is easily accessible, as it is only about 40 miles from Dusseldorf airport.
