Park Information
Parc Asterix is France's biggest - and some say best - thrill park. With plenty of attractions to suit everybody from the little ones, to mums that just want to watch shows, to enthusiasts wanting to grab a few high quality coaster credits on the way, Parc Asterix has it.
Situated just north-east of Paris on the A16 motorway (it even has it's own motorway exit), Parc Asterix is really easy to get to. Parking will cost you a few Euros though! No car? Then take the shuttle bus from Charles De Gaul Airport! Hurrah! No excuses!
The park is very spacious and you're never far away from a top notch attraction - be it a log flume, a roller coaster or a walk-thru.
Entering Asterix, it does feel like you've been shot back several years to to the days of "Gaul". Shops and areas are well themed and it does feel like you're in a differnt world altogether.
Although it's called "Park Asterix", Asterix isn't cropping up in front of you all the time. the focus at the park seems to be fun, fun, fun. You don't have to have read the Asterix books to appreciate the park.
Queueing at the park is quite informal. There are no clear loading gates and it seems to be a battle-royale to get the seat that you desperately want; there's little organisation at all.
Food options are relatively healthy, will all the food being own-brand - no fast food giants here - and it won't set you back too much, either.
