Walibi Belgium is Belgium's premier theme park. The park has a wide ranging array of thrill rides and coasters to keep everybody entertained for several days. There are also several areas aimed at families with younger children.
The park is set in a circular fashion around a huge lake making it an easy-to-navigate park. The area at the entrance is quite congested but it spaces out nicely the further you explore. With the exception of the Wild West area, the park isn't greatly themed but that doesn't detract from the thrills to be had. There are plenty of water rides, loads of coasters as well as some park favourites and enclosed, dark rides.
Food is typical theme park fare, waffles, burgers, chips, although there are a few restaurants if you fancy a more substantial and healthy meal. All food is reasonably priced and is of good quality.
Staff are enthusiastic and efficient. The main language is French, although many have a good grasp of English and Dutch so a foreign tourist is never too lost.
There is also a water park area if thrill rides aren't your thing! Bring your own towel and trunks!
As a matter of interest, Walibi Belgium used to be owned by Six Flags before being sold to Grévin & Cie in 2006. They now belong to a French group called Compagnie des Alpes. They were also the first park in Belgium to introduce a "pay one price" entrance fee instead of paying individually for the rides.
