Park guide & photos by Gavin Jones
PARK INFORMATION Everland is the biggest amusement park in Korea, and one of the most widely visited in the world. Depending on traffic, it can be reached from Seoul in around 1 hour by bus, but can be considerably longer on the weekends and public holidays. Everland Festival World is just one part of a huge resort, which also includes Carribean Bay, one of the biggest water parks in Asia.
A lot more spacious than other parks in the area, Everland has much more of family atmosphere, with large gardens, a zoo and safari park, animal shows, numerous fountains, and parades. It is a truely beautiful place, and has lots of areas to just sit down, relax, and enjoy the atmosphere. Unlike the other Seoul parks, Everland really does need a whole day to fully experience all it has to offer, and while it is geared towards families, there is more than enough here to keep thrillseekers happy too.
Everland has an enormous number of family/children's attractions that I have not listed in this guide.
