A bus ride of around an hour and a half from downtown Tokyo will take you to Fuji-Q Highland (sometimes spelt as Fujikyu Highland). One of Japan's best known parks, Fuji-Q sits against the breathtaking backdrop of Mount Fuji. |

Saying this, Fuji-Q does have one big drawback. It's probably one of the least "foreigner friendly" parks around. The staff here are excellent, but the park generally can be confusing if you're a none-Japanese speaker. Unlike other parks in Japan, everything here is almost exclusively in Japanese only. This includes not only the restaurant menus and signposts, but also even the park map; there is no map or park guide available in English (at least at the time this guide was written).
Having said that, this should by no means hinder anyone's enjoyment of this fantastic park.
