The entire UgLand area of the park was re-themed to "Thunder rock Rally" to accommodate Rita, a female racing car driver.

On this coaster, riders accelerate from a standstill to 62 mph in two and a half seconds before sweeping through some tight turns and ending back in the station in less than a minute.

The ride experience is very quick but great fun. Some say it passes by in a blur, others say that it's just too short, either way it's incredible fun!

To give the impression of a race day, upbeat music is played through the queue-line, where you can get good views of the entire ride. Also, the highest part of the track is green so it blends in with the surrounding trees!

Type: Accelerator
Manufacturer: Intamin
Opened: (to the public) 2nd April 2005
Height: 69 ft
Speed: 62 mph
Length: 2122 ft
Max g-force: 4.7

Closed because of weather when I went. Wasn't too annoyed because it looks tame compared to Velocity and Stealth.

Having already rode Stealth and Furius Baco i wasnt expecting this ride to amaze me but it was good in its own right,
painful in the rain though.

Surprisingly good at the back, some airtime on first hill, but quite a bit of 'Intamin Shuffle'.

Must be speed queen of some small and insignificant country, then. Juts not good enough for a park anything like AT.

Thought you would, it's a Thrope kind of ride, not a Towers kind of ride. No thought or effort put in. Just like your
opinions.

i still think it was good , also , some people say that even at the front there is loads of air time , there should be
more air time at the front as you go over the hill at the highest speed !

airtime? on this? dont think so. even at the front this is pointless apart from the decent launch. OTSRs do not bother
me. the ride does. could have been better hopefully will be rethemed next year.

The launch was great, the rest of the ride would have been great if it weren't for those horrible Intamin OTSR's. Some
nice lap-bars and Rita would be full of Air Time and fun, not full of head bashing! :(

Again , rita gets run down but i really loved it. Front row everytime i went on , and the speed surprised me. Yeah ,
it's no kingda ka but for a fairly small sized coaster the launch packs a punch. The airtime was brilliant , even at the
front , and all the way through it maintains it's speed fairly well , so yeah i really enjoyed rita and think it was
awesome!

I know some of you are moaning, but I think rita is bloody biliiant! I just got of it today, and I love the launch and
all the layout. You probably won't agree with what I'm about to say, but it is my 2nd fave ride in the park. fantastic
ride

Take back some of the things I have said about it. In front row the launch is actually fairly powerfull, but I feel that
the turns take too long to negotiate. There is very limited airtime, mostly on the first hill but there is also a tiny
amount on the last hill and the bunny hop into the brakes. Very smooth Don't know how much the weather and the seat
played a part in it, but second time round this was so much better. Still, the tiny amount of airtime, the uncomfortable
cars, short ride time and slow corners bring it back down. Nevertheless, this has gone from a 4 to a 6 or 7.

The launch is good , corners are quiet tight , go g's though , i sat at the front both times and there at least you get
loads of air time , people are saying that they dont get much but , i , only being 13 are quiet light and got apsolutly
loads every hill , but , tbh i dont really like it as it was my second roller coaster after corkscrew and it scared me
lol! but it would have been loads better it was taller and faster but alton towers has the hight restrictioins which is
really enoying , they should have put it part way under ground or somehting to conpensate for this , like they did with
nemesis and they should have better themeing aswell, more like stealth , then i would have given it a better score .
only like 6 or 7 out of 10 from me.

Make that second just above Corkscrew, but that's gone now so does not count.

Worst coaster I have ever been on. Uncomfortable and clumsy restraints and cars, no themeing, slow launch, no speed, no
airtime, no forces. At least it was smooth.

I enjoy it when I'm at the front. Gives a little bit of airtime and only gives slight ear bashing. However the launch
does nothing for me.

It's not a horrible ride by any means, but it does indeed lack. Mainly it lacks strong air time, which is what you would
expect to get quite nicely on each of the 3 hills. Shame, it could have been a lot more fun.

It felt a lot faster yesterday and had a surprisingly smooth and fun ride, but maybe that was because I was at the
front, which is rare for me. But it still fails in several areas detracting from what could be a great ride to a
mediocre one. The layout is awful, it may look like a mini Exped. GeForce, but doesn't ride like it, Rita just launches
into a few elongated banked turns. It's also very short, however, people may take Stealth as being very short, but
Stealth is very "gimmicky", whereas Rita is slower and needs more of a layout to thrill. It has about 3 or 4 pops of
lacklustre airtime, it doesn't seem to work as effective as on Stealth or Baco. The theme is acceptable, it's no where
near as impressive as the other coasters at the park, but works fine. Due to it pulling a maximum of 4.7G's I was
expecting it to be a little more forceful, however it is far from forceless, the coaster also tends to be rough around
the banked turns. I cannot fault the thrill of the launch and the rush it gives off, but in comparison to the parks
batch of B&M's Rita pales in comparison. 6/10

Fun ride this, but it falls short in many areas - the launch is good but the rest of the ride is fairly dull. To me
Stealth @ Thorpe Park is a much better ride. Really this is a bit of a victim of the Alton Towers height regulation
problem

The launch is great fun, and the rest of the ride manages to keep the speed well.

i do like this ride... i think i prefere stealth as the launch is better but as nemesis12345 said u get some airtime on
rite, which combined with the speed is pretty cool... could do with being a bit faster... but all-in-all a great ride...

i prefer this to stealth, because i didn't feel any airtime on stealth and although stealth is great due to the launch,
but i still prefer rita. Nowhere near as good as oblivion nemesis and air though

Not really a fan of this coaster, launch isn't really that forceful, and I found the layout uninspired and too short. I
can't really understand why it got such a high rating.

There is a big difference in launch power between Rita and Stealth. Rita launches 0-60 in 2.5 whereas Stealth launches
0-80 in 1.9. There is quite a large difference here.

dead and ready, before you slag something off you shoult sort out your grammar and spelling. How is 0-60 in 2.5 seconds
slow? Also Stealth (or stalth as you put it) is only 20 mph faster and probably has about the same 0-60, and I can't
remember much difference at all in terms of launch power, they both felt pretty similar.
