Park Information

Oakwood is a small theme park whose excellent selection of random and varied rides rival its bigger cousins. Despite its size, Oakwood is home to one of the best wooden coasters in the world, Megafobia, one of the tallest and steepest water rides in the world, and, in 2006, the only coaster in the UK with a beyond-vertical first drop.

There is plenty at Oakwood to please the whole family, and the fact the park is constantly expanding means that new and unique ride experiences are always arriving.

Food at the park is "in-house" (no commercial rubbish here!) and is of a high standard is reasonably priced.

There is plenty of park merchandise to buy so it's an enthusiasts dream to shop, as well as to ride, there. Staff on the whole are genuinely friendly, polite and well versed in the history and statistics of the rides they operate.

Oakwood is a basic layout Theme Park with rides for people of all ages. I recommend going during the summer because of
riding the rides at nightfall

Oakwoods a great park. one thing that lets them down, is their toilets. Please just sort them out. I went yesterday, and
there was a porn magazine in there on the floor. I mean shouldn't they be cleaned regulary throughout the day?

Oakwood is my favourite park in the whole of the UK, mainly because of it's wholesome loveliness with several green
areas to just lie in. Though the recent 'entertainment' has left much to be desired. It has two great family coasters,
and the perfect credit whore one. If it could add some more family flats, then it would be pratically perfect, problem
is not only space, but not making the park look bad, the recent addys of Speed and Hydro show the moderness showing,
Hydro's structure looking too metallic, whilst Speed's area needs completing. I love the park though to pieces. 90

Argh, I stupidly rated Megafobia instead of Oakwood. Oakwood is great, but still too small with not enough to do to fill
a day, therefore does not deserve an 88, more a 65. Sorry!

Since Oakwood opened in 1990, it has been thrilling its visitors with bigger and better rides. Be it a wooden coaster
with big drops and tonnes of airtime or a brand new steel coaster with inversions and a whole lot of Speed. Oakwood
never dissapoints, as you may well be able to see from these comments, which I wholeheartedly agree with. Oakwood also
never fails to impress me. Ill be happy with whatever Oakwood plans to build next, and hope to ride it soon! Viva
Oakwood!

Not the best park in the UK by any means, but it's certainly my favourite. Everything about it makes it a superb day
out. It's got massive thrills from Megafobia, Speed and even Hydro. Then gentle, but great fun rides like Waterfall,
Snake River, Bobsleigh and Bounce. Everything about the park is well presented and neat. Theming is minimal, but it's
all set out between rolling hills and trees. It's also well worth going to look in Kidzone for the Techniquest area
for 20 minutes of downtime, and maybe cacth a show with Matt the Magician! :)

i think a big majorty of people dont realise how many rides oakwood actually have. They have quite a lot of visitors,
but not enough for a theme park. They have fantastic rides. Hydro- Its big, fast and wet. Megafobia- on of the best
woodies in the world. Speed- The Newest ride, more than vertical drop, amazing twists and turns and a loop and a barrel
roll. Bounce- a fun shot and drop tower. vertigo- you have to pay. but its soo worth it! And also oakwood have
charater. So when you think to go somewhere, give oakwood a try! Althought its not very big, its one of my favourite
parks

The bobsled ride is awesome as logn as you don't break! No queues and awesoem on a wet day when the track is wet.
Megafobia is the best ride in the park though.

Without a dout SPEED is my faveorite ride but is almost being beaten by the legendary Megafobia which in my view isn't
the tallest, fastest, slowest, longest or biggest wooden roller coaster in the world, but sure is the best!

I say that megafobia is the best ride, and this is because, it has fun, airtime, and its a desent time ride, unlike
hydro, wich is slightly uncomfortable and is over in a matter of seconds. But they are both fun, and the queues for the
rides are short. the most you would be waiting is around 25 minutes.
