On Saturday October 15th, Legoland Florida opened its gates to the public!

Merlin Entertainments bought the defunct Cypress Gardens theme park and transformed it into a Legoland theme park. Legoland Florida is the sixth Lego themed park to open since 1968.

The park features four rollercoasters, three of which are rethemed originals from Cypress Gardens and the relocated Jungle Coaster from Legoland Windsor. Lego models obviously feature heavily throughout the park, the highlight being the Mini-land USA area complete with the White House and other famous American landmarks.
