Storm Force 10 is one of the best water rides in the UK.  The ride is themed around a RNLI (Royal National Lifeboat Institution) offshore rescue.  Riders first enter an elaborately themed queue line and station based around a light house.  Then prepare to get wet!  Aboard their own RNLI lifeboats, riders embark on an exciting rescue featuring a backwards drop and a drenching big drop finale! You will get wet! If you're a cheap sort of person, you can usually find used ponchos dumped in the bins by the exit.
Drayton Manor donates one pence for every onride photo purchase to the RNLI - so far they have raised over £66,000 for the RNLI cause.

Type: Grand Flume
Manufacturer: Premier Rides
Legnth: 984 ft
Highest Drop: 60 ft
Top Speed: 45 mph
G-Force: 3.0

Storm Force 10's water supply is pumped to the top of the first water drop by a spiral screw device known as an "Archimedes' Screw". Invented in the third century B.C. by Archimedes of Syracuse, the bottom part of the screw is placed in the water and as it rotates the water is pushed up to the top of the screw. This is a more cost effective than using electrical pumps, which would otherwise have to be used. You can see this device in action on the viewing platform to the right of the ride's entrance.

a good water ride but you dont get that wet unless you sit at the back. the ride has a good theming and has 3 reasonably
good drops but the water needs some serious attention, it is awfully dirty and the build up of bile is quite disusting.

really good , but i think the line is too long and needs to be cleaned , especially the amount of litter on the light
house is horrible , but the rides good , line was well too long though , got bored , had nothing to say to my friend ,
also i think that because your going like 45 mph and its really tall , and steep that they really need to install some
type of harness of some sort , when it goes up your like sliding about , but was so scary when your going down as , its
really steap and you come right out your seat as theres nothing keeping you in , i was holding on for dear life! , i
really didnt want to die 2 days before my b day lol.

Not as good as Valhalla, but still a fantastic water ride. Also it is brilliant that DMP are donating to such a good
cause.

After not really wanting to ride this it turned out to be my favourite water ride i have rode.but the downside was this
ride kept stopping and we were at the station in the boat for 10 mins just waiting for the mechanic to fix

Waste of time, only saving grace was the backwards drop and a comparatively good queue line.

It's an okay ride, But the only really good drop is the backwards one. The rest of the ride I find boring, and the final
drop would have been better if it was like Logger's Leap at Thorpe's.

I didnt get at all wet on the final drop. The backwards drop got me soaked however. Very, very long queue when I was
there. Wasnt really worth the wait I expected much more of a thrill out of this. Tidal Wave at Thorpe Park looks a lot
better. Only go on this if the queue is short or you have time to spare.

Wet at the back not so wet at the fun so if you know the ride you can choose how wet to get. You will get wet no matter
where you sit but on the bacwards drop it is so funny to get lots of water in the lap of whoevers in the back.
Especially if they don't know thats what will happen. just don't go on apocalypse strait afterwards.

Good drop, and great backwards drop, but I agree with coasterchris, not nearly as good as Valhalla. Though Valhalla is
in the dark, so I suppose I can't really compare.

I love this water ride it is great. My favourite drop is the Back drop it gets you soaked. The only thing with this ride
is the fact that the water is green and rather sickening.

Surprised to see so many positive comments about this ride. It has some great drops and starts off strong but there's
far too many sections where nothing happens and you're moving slowly along flat sections. This means it's does get quite
boring. Still worth a ride if the queues not too long just for the backwards drop.

Nicely themed. The q-line is long with queues lasting atleast an hour on peak-season. Hint- Sit at the front, you get
more wet at the back than on both forward drops ;)

The best water ride I have gone on. Don't go on the front, it sucks. You have to go on the back. The theming is amazing
and the ride itself is impressive. There's a good reason why this is popular.

Sitting in the middle will not keep you dry!!! You are wet wherever! Great ride...

I thought this was a fantastic ride and well worth the nearly 1 hour time spent queueing for it. The first drop out of
the station is groovy, although i think the final drop should have been one large steep slope, instead of a double-down.
Still great though.

As already been said, do not sit at the back unless you are protected by a poncho, wellies and loads of waterproof gear,
like life boat men. Not only will you get wet on the backward drop but all the water runs to the back on the hills, and
it gets pretty deep, eg coming up to the seats. Me and my dad sat at the back stupidly, didn't dry all day. But this is
the best water ride I have ever been on.
