Park spokeswoman Melissa Pinkerton recently announced the cancelation of the Dark Knight indoor Mack Wild Mouse coaster for Six Flags New England.

To say the construction of the roller coaster has not gone so smoothly is an understatement.  Six Flags had numerous permit and governmental regulation troubles, causing a state mandated hault in construction in late February while Six Flags regrouped with local officials on the review of the park's construction permits for the new coaster.

So as to alleviate the loss of the new roller coaster, Six Flags announced a new parade for the park this year, entitled Glow in the Park.

"Given what we always knew was a challenging construction schedule, we have been proceeding along a parallel track with a contingency plan for the 2008 season and we're very excited to announce Glow in the Park - a phenomenal nighttime extravaganza that will blow our guests away."

All construction work which has been completed thus far will be dismantled.

Six Flags Great Adventure and Great America are still on track with their Dark Knight coasters, and still plan to open for the 2008 season.
