Six Flags reported a $253 million loss for their 4th Quarter report, a definite improvement compared to last year when the company lost $305 million, a $52 million difference.
Six Flags also reported a 100,000 figure boost in attendance.
The decreased loss in money and revenue is thanks to Six Flags dismantling those defunct rides and operations (i.e. Psyclone and Flashback at Six Flags Magic Mountain).
By cutting those losses, Six Flags has been able to begin narrowing the net loss of the company, turning the company's budget around and back on track.
"Our turnaround plan is on pace," said Mark Shapiro, Six Flags president and CEO. "Guest spending and guest satisfaction are at record levels and our corporate sponsorship business has shown impressive growth. The recent announcement of our strategic expansion into Dubai validates the growing strength and momentum of our brand."
