Kings Island, Kings Dominion, and Carowinds have been often noted for featuring a racing wooden roller coaster at each park, with one side featuring roller coaster trains facing backwards while the other face forwards.
Parent company Cedar Fair has ordered that these parks turn their wooden racing coasters to face foward on both sides; turning the backward trains to race forwards.
This is not the first time that all of these wooden coasters had both sides facing forwards.
Kings Island's "Racer" faced forward from its opening in 1972 to 1982, while Kings Dominion's "Rebel Yell" and Carowinds' "Thunder Road" didn't turn one side backwards until the mid 90s.
