Floorless coasters are a particular form of the B&M Multilooper coasters. The course of the coaster is heavily based on inversions, but the gimmick here is that coaster train "loses" its floor before it leaves the station. The legs of the rider are left dangling over the top of the track. FLoorless coasters have really replaced the traditional B&M sit down coasters, with a floored train - much to the upset of a lot of people. Floorless coasters are commonly regarded as being less forceful and exciting as the older B&M multiloopers, where the trains retained their floor.

B&M are currently the only company to have a floorless coaster in production. The first floorless coaster was Medusa at Six Flags Great Adventure (since renamed Bizarro). |

B&M also offer a floorless version of their "Dive Machine" coasters. Shiekra at Busch Gardens Tampa was even retrofitted to have new trains without the floor. The jury is out on whether this really improves things or not. |
