As you would expect from a Cedar Fair owned park, the rides are grand, varied and thrilling. There is something for everyone, from coasters to water rides to terrifying flat rides. However, also being a Cedar Fair park, it has that same vibe as others, such as Cedar Point. Cedar Fair regulars will probably see the park as the same thing just repackaged.
Warning signs and over-protective rules do spoil the day a little. Don't do this, don't do that - you're not even allowed to take a camera on the Ferris wheel for goodness sakes. Unfortuntly, this attitude reflects in the staff. Most members of staff, although friendly, just seem to get on with the job doing EVERYTHING by the book. Positively, this makes this somewhat robotic staffing very efficient.
Food is the American staple diet of burgers, pizza, nachos etc. You can find some healthy options if you look but grease is the order of the day here. Never mind though, you can burn it off in the fantastic water park which is included with park entry...again though, expect loads of rules to prevent you doing anything a little adventurous.
Valleyfair is a good park and is worth a visit but just expect to be treated as a statistic instead of a valued guest.
