Pleasure Beach Blackpool, Blackpool, Lancashire, UK.

The Big One | Grand National | Big Dipper | Rollercoaster | Revolution | Steeplechase
Valhalla | Bling | Infusion | Spin Doctor | Space Invader | Ice Blast
Avalanche | Wild Mouse | Zipper Dipper | Morgon's Circus Clown Coaster

Opened in 1979, the Revolution's success paved the way for other notable Blackpool steel coasters, such as Avalanche, Space Invaders, and the famous Pepsi Max Big One. Featuring an intense loop and excellent backwards airtime, the Irn-Bru Revolution continues to thrill countless riders to this day....and prepare for station wobble when the coaster lauches!

Revolution was the park's only inverting coaster until Infusion was built. It was famously used in an episode of BBC's Jim'll Fix It programme where a group of Scouts ate and drank on the ride. Youtube link.

I totally agree CoasterKing, I truely believe this is better than the Big One, and alot more thrilling, I think it would
be better if they got rid of the tacky paint job, and sponsership of Irn-bru! And they really got to stop the staion
from rattling so loudly, it makes people shake and it is a bit off puting for some (my mum, lol) and Prehaps they should
make it a tad faster :P I the queues are only realy bad in Summer

I think this ride deserves a larger score than it has been given. Its not as rough as some people are commenting,
neither is it as tame. It is in fact very powerful, packed the the brim with air-time and the loop is very forceful both
forwards and backwards. Again, this is an example of Pleasure Beach history. It was the first looping coaster in Europe
and before Spring 2007 was the only looping coaster at the park. The only downside to the ride is that the queueline and
the loading platform arent perhaps the most settling. The whole structure wobbles and shakes and makes a very un-easy
metal bending noise when the train leaves and enters the station. Argg!

An absolute blinder of a ride, great engineering to have this work so well with so little push. Excellent backwards
loop, more parks should have a simple looper like this.

I got quite a bit of airtime going down the drop and it felt weird going through the loop backwards. :D

It feels really fast, then the backwards and first drop give e a willy lift! and the loop is some added fun, and i only
needed to queue for about 5 inutes at the most!

My first Loop-The-Loop Coaster! Never been any queue lines when I have been there which is the best part! Backwards
loop is fantastic and gives some awesome airtime. Very good Roller Coaster but not worth a long queue as it is a bit
short.

The loop is really good backwards, you get a little bit of air on the drops, the best bit is when you get launched
backwards and you don't know when you're going to drop.

Turned out much better than I expected, the launch is bizarre, then it finishes and the first drop gives a nice pop of
ejector when sat on the back row, the loop is intense.

Woah! this is one intense little coaster! Its funny because when the train enters and leaves the station, the whole
platform wobbles and makes a horrible 'clank' noise, and everybody starts chanting 'ooh I dont like it when it does
that' hehe. The ride itself has a huge amount of airtime, particularly in the forwards drop section and the loop both
forwards and backwards is fast and forcefull. Unfortunatley, Revolution is painfully rough and I came off it with quite
a bad headache. Fun. But. Painful!

A dull and average ride, going down the drop backwards is the best bit and that wasn't even that good.

Tommy and Patrick, all I've heard from you two is argue on roughness on every single coaster. But I'm afraid I have to
agree with Patrick, it's rough. You may have a different view because you may have never been on a smooth coaster in
your life. Arrow spells rough, but Arrow spells fun. And well arrow points to the hospital because it hurts. But it is
such a fun experience and the amazing air-time gives so much novelty value towards it.

Yeah, its me again! Aint been on a coaster since i went 2 drayton manor. But im confused, why r all u peeps saying that
this ride is rough? Once i had been on almost all the wooden coasters, (rollercoaster wasnt open)i whent on my only
steel coaster (as infusion wasnt open either)I wasent used to the sheer smoothness of most steel coasters, so i was very
happy. so u guys can stop sayin its rough coz it aint!

Good fun, the airtime on the forward loop is great, hurts a bit when you bash down into the seat again, the backwards
bit is great as well, specailly when sitting at the back

I remember when this first opened and the queues were all the way up the stairs. Now you can more or less walk on it.
Its worth the climb. Was the first looping ride I ever went on. Love the backwards ride and the feeling you get when you
start to drop into the loop.

Unique and fun. What more can you want and it occasionally stalls.

Amazing, I love this ride. I've got to get at the front and I always go on this every time I go to Blackpool. However,
it does hurt a bit when you go backwards.

What did you say Coaster Fiend. Do you know what Air-time is. Irn-bru is airtime to the max.

This ride is lame, pure and simple. Very dated and tame by todays standards. No airtime (so I don know why peeps here
say it has) and its boring. Thunder Looper at AT was way better.

How can any1 say that this is rough? The seats are padded and deep down. This is one of the smoothest looping coasters
around!!! God, Zain, were you standing on your head or summat?

There was a ride similar to this at SFOG, but that's gone. This is nowhere near as great, but it is somewhat fun none
the less. The ride is too short, but the sensation that comes from a backwards loop is incredible.

This ride is probably the only exception I'll have on me preferring speed to airtime, because the airtime on this ride
was just amazing. I could actually feel myself out of my seat! A good 8 is definitely what this ride deserves.

I often forget how great this coaster is, a simple, small layout but it has incredible airtime and a hugely intense loop
both forwards and backwards. Love it.

Pretty intense actually. The queue is horrifying but the ride is decent and the loop is cool in reverse. Another decent
Blackpool Ride and the one looping coaster there! Looks lame but is fun. Ride.
