Park Information

Park Owners: The Thomson Family

Pleasure Beach Blackpool is, without a doubt, the best Amusement Park in the UK. There are plenty of rides for the whole family and whilst their is an absence of new ride technology, their collection is an abundance of classic rides. The park's wooden coasters are some of the best old coasters in the world. There are a number of suprises too, such as the amazing Valhalla, who's theming rivals that of even Orlando's best themed water rides.

Pleasure Beach also offers two exciting thrill rides in Bling and Ice Blast.

A realy good park but so tacky, i know that its like a seside fair .. just a bit more safisticated, theres some realy
breath takingwell themed rides there but some are just crap, and haw come nearley everyride at the park is sponsered by
some kind of food or drink ? overall 2 best park in the UK (Y)

This park really needs to a lick of paint, improved maintenance and improved queuing systems. Some good rides but just
too shabby for 2008. Next time you go, look underneath anything and it won't look good. Worst examples bring the alpine
golf, avalanche and the steeplechase which now has only two fences!!! The rest are just dips. Very disappointing, head
to flamingoland or Alton Towers at least they care.

I love amusement parks, and whilst BPB is the UK's best by far, I find it a very frustrating experience, this is a park
with such enormous potential which it has just let slide. When I was growing up I adored the park, and have ridden the
woodies endless times, but I just think the park really lost its way in the early '90's. By now it should be (by a huge
margin), the most important park in the UK, but its not, it looks tired and dated. Great, if you've never been, and your
looking for nostalgia I suppose.

I disagree with Tommylawrence too. The queues are tiny at Blackpool, and never hardly exceeds 30 minutes. (Apart from
Space Invader) And imo Drayton Manor is no way near as good as this park, it does have a few good rides at drayton but
compared to this its nothing. The only two parks I can think of in the UK that clearly beats Blackpool are Thorpe Park
and Alton Towers. I can't see Drayton Manor being in that list.

Also- anyone who thinks BPB could ever be anywhere close to being the best park in Europe is seriously deluded. The best
park in Europe is Port Aventura.

Great atmosphere, great day out but if we are being brutally honest BPB do not have one great coaster.

I totally disagree with Tommylawrence, Blackpools queues r hardly big (apart from Space Invader) and i think Blackpool
PB is close second best park in the UK! theres thousands of great rides, for a mixture of people and rides known
globally! though i think they could do with a modern launched coaster (taller than pepsi max)!

Blackpool is a dump and there are only a couple of rides there worth getting excited about.

I don't think this is the best park in Europe, no, no. This park is great when the queues are short but this park does
seem to have a problem with theming and "modern" coasters. They need a good 160 ft mega-looper like Dragon Khan. Then it
will be the best park in Europe.

Without doubt, the best amusement park in Europe. Pleasure Beach maybe small in terms of space, but yet it counts for
over 10 amazing rollercoasters (each one visually changing our opinions on the theme park industry) -and even more
amazing, thrilling rides. At over a century old, Pleasure beach is as strong as ever, with the equally enthusiastic
Thompson family throwing buckets and buckets of fun, excitement, amazement, adreanalin, laughter and pure razzel-dazzel
at the guests who are pining for more and more. Needless to say that Pleasure Beach definatley deserves its 'Best
tourist attraction in the UK' award. If i could, i would give it 'Best amusement park in Europe' but sadly i can't.
Thankyou Pleasure Beach, for bringing us so many classic rides and spectacular polished thrills. I love you so much...

Pleasure Beach Blackpool is without any doubt, the best park in britain. alton towers, thorpe park and the rest dont
come close to matching pleasure beach. the atmosphere at the pleasure beach is superb and along with all the rides being
compact and close together it makes for the best day out in britain hands down.

Dear dear Blackpool, i hold it close and it has a special place in my heart. And this place is one of the main reasons
why. I regularly spend the October half term in Blackpool for about 5 days every year. And we always get a full day
wristband to go mad for the day at PBB. All the rides here are great for all there reasons and since ive been comin
every year since i was bout 3 its changed a hell of a lot. And dare i say it i think it is better than Alton Towers for
a fun filled day out, because unlike Alton its location is by the sea and the town it is located in is the centre of fun
for the whole of the UK. I love this place and i hope they build another world class coaster soon to further enhance its
world class reputation.

Bpb is a good and a bad day out. It has grate rides, although queue time are up high and also the prices are up high.
would be a grate theme park if all was abit cheeper and less crouded.

Pleasure Beach is an amusement park not a theme park. But in this category it excels, it is the best park of it's kind
in the UK offering some superb traditional style coasters, but has also added to this in the last few years wiv some gud
high-tech thrill rides like Bling, Valhalla, and Ice Blast! BPB is an excellent day out 4 the family and thrillseekers
alike if u can withstand the often chilly weather.

the first drop on the big one is great but the rest of the track is boaring, it should have more steep drops like
goliath or atleast some airtime!! So my vote goes to valhalla coz it is a brill ride which i could ride a million times,
if the cues werent so big

My favorite park in the UK by a mile, it has an amazing selection of rides. And a bizzare magic which can't be matched
anywhere imo.

Wow. The pleasure beach is the best park in the UK IMO. I love it. At least 4 hours away, yet i manage to get there
about 5 times a year. Love every minute of every day there. Have never come out thinking i should have ridden more. May
not have the best coastersm but it makes up in atmosphere and flats. Awesome Park Nash is my fave ride here. Deffo

in my top 10, easily!
