When Cedar Point install a new ride they usually do a good job. Here's a ride that features nearly
EVERYTHING an enthusiast could dream of.
The ride starts with a launch up the lift hill immediately followed by a 95 degree drop before it speeds through a series of over-banked turns, and snappy, swift turns. Then it crawls to a slower pace inside a tunnel before launching you at 70mph over water (complete with water shots) before inverting you a few more times!
A well themed ride, with generous seats and PLENTY of thrills. A must ride!

Good ride. Maybe its my height but on the sharp turns my neck kept hitting the restraint and it was kind of
uncomfortable. It is a good ride though

Join the club jcelticw, I was rider number 104 for Maverick waiting in the freezing rain, and was even lucky enough to
experience the first public rollback and first ever rollback on the lift launch hill!

Looks great, though I went last year on the Saturday and Sunday of Maverick's opening weekend, and the wait was 3 hours.
I will be hitting it this year though.

Rode this three times when opened and loved it. I believe that the barrel roll would have been fun, but I see why they
took it out.

A real good fun ride. Definitely the best coaster in Cedar point.

This ride is defenitly better than a diving coaster. 95 degrees, it doesn't get any better than this, but my favorite
part of the ride are: the twist in between two fountains, the launch under the station and the drop, that is all there
is to it.

Maverick is one of a few rides I would consider a perfect 10. Decent theming, lots of forces and a killer layout. Here's
that bang Kinzel was talking about. 10/10

In response to themeparklover's comment, This blatently owns Rita. How can you even compare it to, let alone call it a
wannabe of Rita. And rating it 1? You've never even bloody ridden it!

Wow. This ride is actually very good, from the first drop at 95*, to the awesome Zero-G Rolls, to the second launch and
water effects. There was great airtime, awesome speed, good inversions, and decent theming. However, quite a bit of
headbanging can occur.

Can't wait to ride next year when I go to CP. Wait, inverts you a few more times? No heartline roll to invert you again.

And to support darthstumpy, this isn't really a ride you can have your arms up in anyways. I did the first time I went
on it and the next day I had bruises on my upper arms right at the base of my deltoids from the over the shoulder
restraints. The ride is very chaotic with a lot of tight twists and turns. Excellent excellent ride.

Great ride, very smooth so far however it probably won't be so smooth in the next couple of years. It has 8 airtime
hills, however to properly experience the airtime you really do need to be in the last car. While I was there it broke
down a couple times, however when it was running they did have 6 trains of 3 cars consistently going. Overall, its an
awesome ride well worth the time you'll spend in line.

looking at the ride the i didnt think i would be able to feel the extra 5 degrees, i was wrong! you can really feel it
when you go past vertical, even if it is only for a second. My only complaint is that the shoulder straps can dig into
your shoulders if you have your hands up through the the tight corners. Overall just amazing! 10/10

OMG!! this is my new favorite star at cedar point, and the whole northern usa! it's just wonderful to fly over the top
of the lift in the backrow, and the horsehoe turn is magical!! the only downside is the zero-g-roll, imagine how awesom
it would have been with that instead of the s-curve!! but still!!!! 11/10 =)

I have to say, when this coaster was announced, I was far from impressed, and actually on the brink of disappointment. I
think the reason for the disappointment was due to the fact that having Cedar Point as my home park, I was expecting
something amazing and record breaking. Well, we didn't get something record breaking, but we sure got something
amazing. I was totally wrong to judge this before I went on it, because in this case, looks are extremely deceiving.
This coaster maintains its speed throughout the whole circuit, with the exception of right before the launch. It has
everything you'd look for in a good coaster, from the great drop, crazy turns, incredible airtime, theming, and a
fantastic launch. Easily a 10/10, and is my current top coaster.

Easily best coaster at Cedar Point and deserves to be one of the top in the world. Combines everything you've wanted in
a ride and smashed them into complete sex. Go Maverick!

This ride is unbelievable. From afar, it seems not very exciting, being small and only 2 inversions. But, this coaster
packs a mega punch that amazing everyone. I've yet to meet a person who does not love this ride, a must ride and a top
10 coaster. Ride on, coaster lovers, ride on!

Simply the most amazing coaster (nearly) under 100 ft. This coaster easily shows that height does NOT matter.

Maverick is pure genius! It is everything a roller coaster could ever offer. The drop, the launch, the turns and
transitions and best of all the incredible air-time. It is my all-time favorite!

Great ride, lots of fun. Good airtime, and the first drop is really cool. Tons of room in the car, and a layout that
can hurt a little..pain is good. But, over, its fun to ride.

Really great ride. It combined everything into one, which was really awesome. My one complaint was that some of the
turns were brutal, although that's pretty easy to get past after a few rides. You can brace. It's one of the better all
around rides at The Point and is sure to be a favorite with the public.

To me, it's an absolute masterpiece. A work of art. Why? It has everything I want from a coaster. The differnt elements,
launch, terrain hugging, over-banked turns, water fountain shots, anticipaion. The seats are huge so you can brace
yourself on the somewhat brutal turns, but they are so freaking sweet, I don't care! This ride has it all. It's even
better at night! Perfection is a coaster called Maverick.
