Imagine how Disneyland would have turned out if Walt was on crack, and you get Lotteworld! Located in the Jamsil area of Seoul, Lotteworld is a huge complex consisting of a hotel, department store, outlet mall, swimming pool, bowling alley, Korea's biggest shooting range, move theaters, and an ice-rink.
Of course, the main focus here is Lotteworld Adventure and Magic Island. Both of these are accessable using the same ticket (around 15 pounds for an all inclusive). Lotteworld Adventure is the indoor section of the park, and Magic Island is located outside, surrounded by Sukchon Lake.
This place really is a world-class park, boasting its fair share of world firsts and some of the best themed rides to be found anywhere.
Plans/applications have also been put forward by Lotte to construct Lotteworld 2 on a patch of land they own next to the existing Lotteworld. The proposal would cost an estmated $1,250,000,000 and includes an 800m (2,625ft) hotel, which, if built, would be the world's tallest building. Fingers crossed........

The future tallest building in the world at 2, 695ft, is over 1000ft taller than the current world's tallest building Taipei 101 at 1,670ft.

A quick word of advice regarding Lotteworld; NEVER go on a weekend or during a school holiday, the crowds will be simply
horrendous. Go early on a schoolday and you're pretty much guaranteed to get walk-ons on most of the rides until the
late afternoon.

I like Lotte World. I just have a LOTTE of complaints about it. The park map isn't very helpful, just TRY to find Comet
Express on the first try! (I never found it my first time there and had to ask for help the second time!) Th indoor
portion of the park is easily one of the most impressive indoor parks in the world if not the #1. The outdoor portion is
a hodge podge, with the Disney rip-off castle and the amazing looking Atlantis Adventure. The park seems to have nearly
the complete Intamin catalogue of rides from the Gyro Swing to the Aqua-Trax and the monorail between. The park is also
one of the most consistently crowded parks I have ever seen with multi-hour waits for nearly everything, even the flats!
Finally, my #1 gripe? GRRRR! Why is Atlantis Adventure closed every time I go?
