Park Information
Lightwater Valley is a strange place. The entrance is through a a small shopping centre which sells all sorts of stuff. The park itself is also strange. You enter into a rather small fairground style area which makes you think the park isn't much cop. However, once you get past that area it'll dawn on you how big the park is!
Set within a valley, most of the rides are a good long walk apart but when you get to the rides you won't be disappointed. There's the superbly themed Sewer Rat coaster and the pirate ship plus there's the infamous and glorious Ultimate.
Food is all done "in house, with the occasional brand name such as "Rollover" popping up. With so much open space, why not take a picnic along and enjoy the views over the lake?
All the attractions are good fun and are suitable for all ages, there may not be enough to keep the high-adrenaline seekers entertained but the walking around will certainly fill a day. Lightwater Valley is one of those family owned theme parks that occasionally is threatened with closure, but it's great value for money and well worth a visit!

Great place, they've got so much space as well and could do so much with it. Shame that some of the newer rides don't have any theming whatsoever.

Got on 2 rides 'Twister and Rat' one time, but still an excellent park which is relatively cheap, unlike PleasureLand which is more expensive and more bland...

LWV is a cheap park to get into with a good ride selection. The setting is very easy on the eye and the staff have done a great job blending everything in. If you have a nagging 'other half' take them along to enjoy the shopping village next door. Make sure you experience the lightwater valley birds of prey centre including the 30 minute flying show, and don't pass up the opportunity of a photo with a huge european eagle owl.

Light water valley is a cheap fun affordable themepark which has a amazingly rough and extreme rollercoaster the Ultimate it should not get down rated because of its roughness it is a super themepark and can not wait to find out what the new ride: Sky flyer is.
