My second favorite woodie behind Rebel Yell's backwards train. This thing is fast, vicious, and well-laid out, but still remains relatively smooth. Great racing effect as well.

A great racing woodie with speed and high banked turns. I only saw Thunder win once out of all the times I saw this ride go. Great fun and can't be missed at Hershey.

The second best woodie I've ridden (behind El Toro). Go with friends and split up to race. If you want to win get on Lighting as it almost always beats Thunder (even though Thunder won two out of five when I was there on Memorial Day). A solid 10!

I got back from hershey about two weeks ago and this ride is beast. Lighting always wins, at least when I was there.Anyway, prepare for some whiplash but it doesn't hurt this awesome ride!

By far my favorite racing coaster. Smooth, fast and intense. A long ride with lots of interesting elements, and the racing adds a layer of fun!

I really liked Lightning Racer, the Millenium Flyer trains are fantastic (but I'll only ride in the front seat) and it's so smooth. I like the Wildcat better for some reason, but LR is still great. I like it better than Storm Runner and Great Bear, the dueling aspect makes for a very fun ride on both sides of the coaster.

It doesn't get much smoother and more fun than these pair of GCI racers. The Milennium Flyer trains are amazing, and the racing aspect keeps you laughing the whole ride.

The racing aspect is amazing, and it is and overall good ride that isn't that rough compared to WILDCAT.

I've been on this coaster before and I have to say I was pretty impressed with it's design. For a wooden roller coaster, smoothness rating I'll give a 5 out of 10. It was pretty good. I have to say though that if you are a competitive person this ride is for you! I went with my camp once and we split up into the sperate trains and of course mine came out as the winner >_<.

Very smooth for a woodie, infact very smooth period. The racing parts are fun, but even solo this is an excellent ride.

this looks like fun! it kinda reminds me of Gemini, which banged me up quite a bit. One question for the experianced, though....is it entirely wooden, or is the track metal? Just asking, in case i go there! i can't deal with wooden tracks.

I went to hershey and expected much more form such a recent ride. It was like it was 40 years old but taller. It gave me a headache too. The racing is awesome though

An excellent coaster. The layout is excellent, offering for the racing and dueling along the layout. Each side features those nice Millennium Flyer trains, that are the most comfortable of any wooden coaster train. This ride just shows that a ride doesn't have to be tall and fast to be incredible.
