Alton Towers isn't just for thrill seekers - there are areas dedicated to pleasing those under the height limits for the thrill rides. There are three main childrens dedicated areas in the park - Old MacDonald's Farmyard, Cred Street and Mutiny Bay.

Old MacDonald's Farmyard:
Situated on the right of the park as you come down Towers Street, passing under the Squirrel Nutty ride and around the Tractor Ride. Old MacDonald's Farmyard boasts the following attractions.

Old MacDonald's Tractors -

all kids love tractor rides!

Old Macdonald's Tractors

Eye Spy River Bank -

a simple boat ride looking out for the animals and making noises by pressing buttons. Look out for the funny chickens!

The Doodle Doo Derby -

sounds posher than it is! A simple animal roundabout, but the animals all make noises. There's a bench in the middle for the parents to sit on and relax.

Berry Bish Bash -

time for the kids to get revenge! This is a childrens only attraction (all over 18's must be accompanied by a child) where the kids get to shoot soft balls at each other with the help of compressed air.

Also in this area is The Dung Heap - a large play area for young children, Singing Barn - where all the animals sing at you (quite excellent actualy) and Fluffy Friends - Real animals, which varies from time to time, but you're likely to find chickens, donkies and maybe even a rabbit or two.

Cred Street:

In the Towers area, Cred Street is hidden away. It's behind the massive wall beside the entrance to Hex, or you can get there if you head around towards Charlie and the Chocolate Factory but carry on going past the entrance. This is a simple little area, with a nice coffee/ice cream shop situated alongside a bouncy fun area. Here you'll also find...

Frog Hopper -

standard bouncing fun for the young ones (yes... of course just for them...).

Carouselle -

your classic horse roundabout ride.

The Cred Street Theatre -
regular shows and fun for all the family.

Also in this area are the Bouncing Bugs - bouncing roundabout ride and the Driving School - Kids over four can learn to drive around a small town in battery operated cars.

Mutiny Bay:

This area is covered a little already with Battle Galleons and The Flume sitting the same area. However, this piratical land also has a pirate show in the Courtyard Tavern, Heave-Ho rocking Tug ride and Marauders Mayhem -

the gunpowder barrel themed tea cups ride.

Marauders Mayhem

When you add into the mix special events, such as Easter time's Chocolate Towers, Comedy Nun Musical Ruth and a whole host of other wandering characters, Alton Towers shows it's got children on the agenda as well as grown ups.

Robotic!

Awwww!
