Joyland is probably the smallest theme park in the world. It would would take somebody in good health just a minute to walk from one side of the park to the other!

Joyland has a psychedelic air to it. The building are all vibrantly coloured and there's a selection of rides that you probably wouldn't find elsewhere. Take a trip on a snail. Go round in a tub.... yes it's a strange old place. There are a few smaller kiddy rides at the park which are not featured in this guide. They include a 'big' wheel and gentle roundabout rides.

Opened by the Cole family in 1949 as a children's theme parks, not much has changed. The arcades have been modernised to suit the penny falls and arcade action generation but the classic feel remains.

You can go on the rides by purchasing tokens. The number of tokens required depends on the ride. You can even get an unlimited ride wristband to use all day if you wish.

The park is situated on the seafront near the town centre and can easily be coupled with a visit to the Pleasurebeach which is a 15 minute stroll to the other end of the seafront.

Two credits (or three if you count Snails) and only a quid per ride :D A quick and cheap way to gain credits and ride
historic rides in the process. Not very thrilling, but should be fun. Going next week :D
