Yunlin, Taiwan Park guide and photos by Gavin Jones

Janfusun Fancy World is one of the more isolated parks in Taiwan, being quite far south and not as close to any major cities as some other places. If you're travelling there using public transport, it's probably best to take a ninety minute bus ride from Taichung, the third biggest city in Taiwan. A bus also runs from Taipei, but there are only two a day, taking around 4 hours to get to the park, and both leaving extremely early in the morning. A lot more thrill based than other Taiwanese parks, Janfusun offers guests two world-class coasters, as well as numerous flat rides. Families are not left out, however, thanks to the amazing "KiddyLand" area, as well as numerous shows and smaller rides. There can be a lot of confusion with regard to rides' names here. The English signs on the rides don't match those on the map, nor are either of them an accurate translation from the Chinese names. For the purposes of this guide, I have used the names given on the English park map, giving other explanations on the ride pages where needed.
