Great Coasters International, Inc. (GCII) was founded in 1994. It was 2 years before their first coaster, Wildcat at Hersheypark was unveiled to the world. Designed by Michael Broodley (co-founder with Clair Hain), the coaster was a memorial to the twisted layouts of the great coasters from the 1920's. GCII have used this ideal as the design plan for all of their coasters so far. The tracks are tightly twisted, fast and furious.
GCII have also produced some modern day twin track coasters, like Gwazi at Busch Gardens Africa, and the highly rated Lightning Racer at Hersheypark.
GCII have 9 rides under their belt so far, with a further two - Renegade at Valleyfair and Troy at Toverland - due to open this year.
Lightning Racer at Hersheypark is a racing, duelling, coaster.
Here you can see the mass of track that allows to cars to chase each other round the circuit, looking for victory.
From this shot of Roar - Six Flags America, you can see the way in which GCII coasters bend and twist in their layouts.
