The youngest of the world's stand up coasters, Georgia Scorcher is a compact coaster located right along the park's entrance. Now dwarfed by Goliath's second hill, the ride still packs a punch with lots of intense corners. The ride has two inversions, a loop and a corkscrew, but it is mostly about the low to the ground turns that come incredibly close to the rocky ground. The trains maintain their speed well and give a very smooth ride.

Type: Stand Up
Manufacturer: Bolliger & Mabillard
Opened: 1999
Height: 107ft.
Speed: 54mph
Length: 3000ft.
Inversions: 2

Stand-ups are painful for me. This was a normal stand-up.

I wish Shockwave at Drayton Manor was more like this. Its a shame because Britain hasn't got any B&M Mega looper
coasters :(. I love American Coasters I wish I could go there one day, but I tend to just travel round Europe and go to
parks there. There are some coasters that feel foreign and special to UK, like Nemesis Inferno (not the original, the
original is just out of this world :P) That similar to B&M inverts in the US, so does Oblivion in a way, it feels to
intense to compare to other British coasters. Well I like this ride now :D I tmade me writ e a whole essay :S

Unusual ride -- standing up puts it in its own category. Corkscrews are awesome. Fun in the back or the front seats.
Very short ride. Great one to close the park out on....easy access to jump back in line for one more time before the
shut 'er down for the night!

It is a terrific ride but some parts feel like it's going to stall. I can't realy say much about it but it is pretty
good.

The restraints on the ride is uncomfortable and makes up for with a powerful ride. This coaster brings much more than it
looks.
