A bus ride of around an hour and a half from downtown Tokyo will take you to Fuji-Q Highland (sometimes spelt as Fujikyu Highland).  One of Japan's best known parks, Fuji-Q sits against the breathtaking backdrop of Mount Fuji.
Like a lot of of Japan's parks, Fuji-Q doesn't cover a large physical area. What it may lack in size, however, it more than makes up for with its excellent selection of world class rides.

Saying this, Fuji-Q does have one big drawback. It's probably one of the least "foreigner friendly" parks around. The staff here are excellent, but the park generally can be confusing if you're a none-Japanese speaker. Unlike other parks in Japan, everything here is almost exclusively in Japanese only. This includes not only the restaurant menus and signposts, but also even the park map; there is no map or park guide available in English (at least at the time this guide was written).

Having said that, this should by no means hinder anyone's enjoyment of this fantastic park.

i would really love to go and ride all the coasters, but the thing that i want to do most is their haunted hospital walk
through. it is currently the longest walk through in the world.

Fuji-Q is a great park. The rides tend to be much more exciting than at typical Japanese amusement parks. It is easier
to drive to the park than take a train, even though the train station is less than 10 feet from the back gate of the
park. I have been to Fuji-Q more than ten times in the past 3 years while living in Japan. If you go to one park besides
DisneySea, this should be the one. Whether you consider it to be the 6FMM of Japan or not!
