After recently going to Skegness on holiday I had to visit Fantasy Island. It was not a bad place to go for a day out. I walked on every ride due to the lack of queues and sat at the front of Odyssey and Millenium Coaster each time I went on! Both were fab. The only thing that really brings the park down somewhat is the market (which was busy when I went and it took ages to get through the crowd) and the prices for the rides. At ?4 each, Odyssey and Millennium Coaster is very expensive but as long as you don't ave to queue for too long or can get a seat at the front, the rides are very worth it!

Fantasy Island is probably the second biggest traditional amusement park (after BPB) and remains on my top 5 ever. The Odyssey towers above Skegness and Mablethorpe and the many fair-feel rides makes this place pure thrill-seekers paradise. The only downside to this amazing park is the fact it is yet to introduce a wristband option, relying on tokens which can get extremely expensive :(...

Has the potenial to be one of the best parks in the country, due to its unique rides. But let down badly by staff, pricing system and ride reliability.
But you have to remember, Fantasy Island is a Market, with added attractions to give you more to do.

I just got back from Fantasy Island when i went on a day trip to skeg with a group of friends and i have never been more dissapointed. For a start the Eye On The Coast ferris wheel has gone, i presume due to lack of custom because last visit i was the only person riding it at one point. So that was a shame. Secondly, due to "adverse" weather conditions, i.e a bit of wind off the sea and the occasional downpour of rain, Odysee, Millenium and Absolutely Insane were closed. Leaving the only main attractions to be Amazing Confusion, Volcanic Impact and Beast. So i decided that i would go on Volcanic Impact anyway. We entered the queue zone to which the gate onto the ride was wide open, so we went with other riders to sit in the seats. Only moments later to be told to come out of the seats and read the sign saying not to embark the ride unless instructed. Fair enough, but impossible at the time because both ride attendants (who looked as though they shared the one brain cell between them)were stood outside at the front entrance to the attraction taking tokens, hardly a two man job, therefore no one was there to instruct and as i said the inner gate onto the ride was wide open. Then came the problem with the restraints, however these were dealt with efficiently although in a manner as if both attendants were clowning around. Finally the ride got going, we shot up to the top of the tower and to add to the further dissapointment no seat tilting, the rides one unique feature. Within the pyramid Dragon Mountain Descent had also been closed, probably i assume due to lack of staff. (sorry, make that lack of compitent staff) Or maybe like the outdoor attractions would also like to blame the "adverse" weather conditions effecting inside too!! I just hope that this was an off day in the history of this park and that it can quickly get its act together and erase its image of a buisness not making profit and going downhill which i experienced on my last visit. I will go back, hopefully an improved visit awaits me.

This park is great but what happened to the train that ran over the twister?

The rides at the park certainly make Fantasy Island worth visiting. The cost and general scumminess though are good reasons not to. Without the flea market, this could be a great little park. With a wristband, as well as pay per ride option, it would be massively recommended. Lots of potential let down by poor park management.

It seems that the Jubilee had its train 'stuck' on the transaction between the overbank and the sidewinder. Good news is that there were test dummies in the train.

yes I am also a regular visiter to the park but I don't live near it. I do agree that is has great rides bt its let down by bad paying systems. If they offered wristbands here I would get one everytime i visit but as they don't I will on buy tokens if I have the B-O-G-O-F vouchers!

As I Am A Regular Visitor To The Park , As I Live Near Skegness , I Feel That The Quality Of The Rides Here Are Really Good ...
With Odyssey Offering Good Thrills And Views !! , And Absolute Insane Offering Height And Shear Speed .
And A Past Ride Which I Enjoyed Was G - Force Which Really Rocked My Socks !
Rating : 10 / 10

I was fortunate to visit this park, it was a last minute decision to go to the Skegness Butlins. Glad I did now, this park offers the best Top Spin in the UK, a brilliant drop tower and a few coasters. Millennium Coaster is the smoothest Vekoma I have been on, and Jubilee Odyssey is the roughest SLC.
